This is an amazing and interestingly decorated cafe. Set as it is in the ruins of thew old theatre you will see the pillars and arches leading down to where they now have the toilets. This toilet trip is a must. We had some refreshments...here which were nice. The service is quite good as they seem to have plenty of staff.More

Stopped in for a drink in the early evening and this is a good place to watch people go by, situated right next to the Cathedral and on one side of one of the main squares. We had a table outside and the staff were...very helpful and attentive. Others nearby had food and the portions looked very generous, there are bars and restaurants in all directions from here.More

Terrible service, we ordered a tea and a cappuccino and they forgot it twice. After 10-15 we off course asked why it took so long and they forgot it again. Before the tea we did get a beer (that just took them 10 min). Most...of the beers were not available anymore unfortunately. Bringing the check they could manage in one minute, but when we asked to pay with card the waiter just mumbled ‘downstairs’ and left without any looking at us. Would not recommend to order something here!More

I visited Cafe Teatro two times in two days and I have very mixed feelings about the place. On the first day, I went with a friend. The coffee was really good, I have to say, but service was disappointing. We had to wait a...lot of time for someone to come and take our order (and there were just a few tables taken, not a crowd), then the waitress simply never came back, so we went to pay at the bar, where some other people were paying too and it was a small mess. On the second day, I went alone because rain was pouring and I decided to ignore the service and focus on the quality of the coffee. By the time I got my coffee (again took some time), I heard 5 times "Last Christmas" by Wham! which was on repeat... There was only one song going and it was that Wham! piece... I quickly drank my coffee and ran away. Other than that - lovely interior, and the bathrooms are spectacular too.More

I called in here for lunch, opting to sit outside on one of the many tables in front of the restaurant. They have interior and exterior seating, but outside is good for people watching in a busy area. It is located very centrally. I chose...a salad and goats cheese mix in Ftira bread which had lashings of olive oil included. It was delicious. The service is excellent. There are very clean toilets inside - actually beneath the ruins of the adjacent former (now, largely destroyed) opera house which made for an interesting visit. I enjoyed good food and coffee with excellent service. At EUR 6.95 for the Ftira and an expresso coffee I felt this to be god value for money. It is a nice place for a leisurely snack.More

We stopped here before calling it a night for one final drink but stayed for the mulled wine! It was a lovely evening so we sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, we were surprised with the bill as we were...expecting it to be around 20euros more. Going to the bathroom was an experience but worth a visit just to see the fantastic building.More
