A very disappointing evening.. my starters was the sea bass spaghetti, totally dry, bland and doubt if there was 25g of fish in it. My main course was a total disaster, lamb cutlets.. being overdone. Every chef should present lamb, pink. If someone doesn’t know...how to cook his lamb, than do not present it. My gut feeling is that the meat was frozen and cooked out of whatever they do as the meaty part of the rack was detached from the bones, never have I seen lamb trees red that way.. shame to be honest. The cherry on the cake, in this case Forrest fruit pannacotta was inedible. The chef has no idea of what a pannacotta is so please do not insult our intelligence, remove it from the menu.More

What a lovely restaurant. Decor, ambience and waiters were all great. Food was fantastic. We were looking for an early meal and 64 gun opens at 1830. The meal was relaxed although the restaurant was busy there was no rush. The food was fantastic. Fresh,...hot and very tasty and the chefs complimentary dish was delicious. I had a 13oz rib eye cooked to perfection and my wife had the belly pork. The bean and pancheta mix underneath the pork belly was gorgeous but far too much. We had one side order of veg which beat us eventually. Lovely bottle of Maltese wine. What a lovely restaurant, well done, we will return.More

On our first night in Valletta we were looking for a place to have dinner and we were walking towards the centre, when we spotted 64-Gun. It looked rather empty, but we liked the decor, so we looked at the menu displayed outsidde. We were...still hesitating when a waiter came outside and offerred a full menu to look at. He was very polite, welcoming and not pushy at all. We decided to go in and we have not regretted it. The food and service were truly excellent. so much so, that on our third night we returned there and again had a great meal with very good service. Samuele looked after us on both nights and was the perfect host.More

It was our first night in Valletta and by chance we fell on a restaurant on our way to the centre of town. Usually, when a restaurant has hardly any clients...you tend to hesitate that the restaurant may not be good. To our surpise, it...was perfect from the food to the service.More

We stayed one week in Valetta and had plenty of time to try all the restaurants. We’re french, pretty selective when it comes to cuisine, and we appreciate starred restaurants. Only 3 restaurants were worth a visit from our opinion: Rampila, Beati Paoli and 64 Gun....There, we had fish carpaccio, seefood pasta and desserts that for once were NOT the omnipresent tiramisu. Good italian wine, and good service.More

From the street you see a brightly lit room with white table cloths evincing a clean and crisp confidence. The meal confirms that impression and hits all of the right notes. The starters are innovative and delicious, the entrees go far beyond the routine offerings...of others in the neighborhood, and the four choices this evening at our table were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The deftly created desserts were entirely worth their calories. And then there is the architecture including hundreds of years of Maltese features such as underground tunnels, ancient excavations under glass floor panels and fascinating angles and arches in all directions. Among the best meals we have experienced in over two years of living in Malta.More

We had a lovely dinner here, the menu is interesting, good quality ingredients prepared in an interesting way. Most of the staff are efficient but there seemed to be a little confusion at times.

Gem of a little restaurant in Valletta, tucked away in a quaint & beautiful street off the tourist bustle of Republic Street. Seafood risotto & fresh fish dishes simply superb and service excellent; and (should you need to use the facilities) you’ll be treated to...an underground cave of ancient excavations.More

Couldn't fault the food or wine! Had an assortment of dishes cooked to perfection. Staff were great too! Would like to see some side dishes served with mains! I'll be back when I next come to Valletta!

Excellent meal and portions sized so you can go for all courses, which I like! Menu not huge but everything cooked to order and really well cooked. Loved the rabbit! We had our breakfasts there too, and they were also great!
