World particulary recommended the ravioli and tiramisu
We ate dinner here last week, managed to get a table outside which was just a lovely setting in the cobbled street and would recommend doing this if you can. Fantastic waiter, wore a mask at all times so didn't feel uneasy with any COVID...issues. We (4 of us) shared bruscetta and the provolone starter both of which were fantastic. There was also had a basket of bread with all different varieties in it and a delicious garlic butter to spread on. For main I had the spaghetti bolognaise, I would never normally order this in a restaurant as it always seems a bit basic however I am so glad I did. The pasta I believe was freshly made and cooked to perfection. The sauce was a delicious ragu with flakes of beef as opposed to a mince, possibly one of the best I have ever eaten, presented beautifully too. My friends had the pasta with ricotta and the special which was a ravioli with a spicy meat inside, again both were fantastic.
The menu isn't huge but doesn't need to be. Reasonably priced, there are cheaper restaurants around there but you definitely get what you have paid for and then some.More
Restaurant is down a cute little alley. Don’t let the price put you off as it is totally worth every penny. Had fresh pasta which the waiter let me mix and match from 2 choices and steak which cut through with a normal dinner knife!...It was incredible. Waiter very lovely as well and provides very good recommendations. Defo worth a visitMore
Good tastes very good, would kill for ravioli Papannis! Also, don’t miss the specials and leave some space for the desserts!
My fiancé and I went there 5 our 6 nights - and only missed one because they had their day off :)
We went there without booking a table and we were lucky to get one of the two last available tables outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the menu. Everything what we ate was delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. The portions size...is worth the price. That was our best evening in Valletta and if we ever come back to Malta, we will definitely visit Papannis again.More
