This nice restaurant is set in the lower part of Melita street in our amazing historic capital city. Parking in Hastings close by is easy. We went to L’Artiglio for the first time with friends and second time with family for a celebration lunch. Both...times were exquisite. The food is excellent - delicious, staff friendly and efficient. Stefano was extremely helpful in planning the second meal. Highly recommended. Prices reasonable.More

The restaurent is attached to a hotel so we weren't sure if it would be OK. It was the best meal we had for our visit. The waiter was friendly and efficient and the food was great. We got lots of extras, bread, amuse bouche,...aperatifs included. Highly recomended.More

A very pleasant discovering! I stayed in this boutique hotel for a week. At the beginning I was surprised to have a breakfast a la carte and not a buffet, but it was great. Every evening I had dinner in the restaurant, with a very...large choice and very interesting combinations. My congratulations to the chef!!!! You can eat everything you wish from seafood to pork, duck, pasta or vegetarian food. Very nicely presented, assorted with local good wine and a pleasant atmosphere. In a city where you can find more pizza, pasta and rabbit, this is a nice place to be culinary spoiled.More

Busy Sunday night, especially with Carnival in full swing, we needed to find a restaurant that was open! We wandered down Melita St and found L’Artiglio. We were offered a table straight away by a lovely lady who made my wife and I feel welcomed....I am coeliac, so I asked if there was anything on the menu I couldn’t eat (given that I must eat gluten free). The lady checked with the chef. With the exception of the Quail dish (and the roast potatoes) everything else was fine. I was given gf bread with my Pumpkin Soup and I chose the steak as my main course. I could have had gf pasta too! The restaurant is fairly small, the music unobtrusive and service very friendly. Would highly recommend L’Artiglio and plan to visit again before the end of our holiday.More

We were staying in the hotel so thought we’d give the restaurant a try one night. Overall, we enjoyed it. The food was wonderful and the portion sizes were very generous. The wine was great and reasonably priced and the cocktails were superb. The service...was friendly, quick and efficient. The only thing that let the experience down was the lack of atmosphere. The space is pleasant and nicely decorated, but apart from our table of 4 and another couple - the the place was empty. It’s a shame because L’Artiglio deserves to be busy!More

We stayed at the hotel for a week so decided to give this place a try for dinner one night. The service was quite slow despite only about 50% full. The food was pretty average and over salted (this is coming from someone who loves...salt). Overall, not our top choice for Valetta. However, do stay at the hotel (see my separate review for it) and enjoy the breakfast here instead!More

I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Excellent service, with delicious high quality food! Stefano and staff really pulled it off to create a memorable evening for 31 of us. Large portion sizes and a great bespoke menu created for us. Not one of...our party left disappointed. Will definitely return again, whether part of a large group or even just a couple.More

The pictures does not match the menu currently offer. Quite big portions, so we shared the oxtail linguine starter. So delicious!! For the main course we had seabass and meat. The dessert was for us different than we used to have in other countries. Every meal...was very tasty and worth a second visit! Highly recommend this place! Service was top notch too!More

The restaurant is quite famous. Unfortunately, the Chef had a bad day when we went there - food was pretty bad, dessert was awful. Wine recommendation, though, was brilliant.

A good Italian option, recommended by an expat living in Malta. I was on a no-carb diet so limited my options (not their fault, Italian and low carb are oxymorons) but many options on the mains. Started with celeriac soup, which was good but not...incredible. I truly my main, the sea bass, prepared well, nice flavor. Also included celeriac (I see a theme here), that actually did taste a little like the soup. I also had a side of the vegetables, which were good but a very small portion. Overall the food was nicely presented and well prepared.More
