This is my favorite kind of restaurant when I'm traveling to a new country. Ta' kris felt warm and welcome to tourists while still feeling authentic. The staff silently checked if we needed anything anytime i so much as looked at them (literally). The traditional...beef dish was excellent, as was the 3 fish platter and veal.More
Recommended by our guide, we tasted this place.... we loved it so much ( for food, quietness and the so kind service!), than we eat here 5 evenings on the 6 of our stay... nothing to say more! I recommend octopus or rabbit dishes
This restaurant never fails to live up to its excellent reputation. My husband’s favourite dish is Octopus Stew and this is the best place to have it. Cooked to perfection with a wonderful sauce. We have tried quite a few dishes on their menu and...the lamb is particularly good. Lovely staff and always welcoming.More
We were waiting for a waitress for 12 minutes and there were not a lot of people. After she came we ordered drinks. She was rude and bored. After another 15 minutes we did not get the drinks came manager and asked us about order...it turned out she forgot about order and did not even wrote it down. It was to frustrating that we were really hungry, after more time waiting we stood up and quit the restaurant. Dont go there !More
Authentic Maltese Cuisine
We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We were looking for authentic Maltese cuisine and found it. We ate a sheep’s cheese starter which was delicious and main course was a traditional Maltese dish Dad’s Famous Bragiolo’ which we loved. The...fillet steak was ever so slightly over done for me and the peppercorn sauce was a bit thick. The potatoes were delicious - I wonder how they make potatoes so delicious! Overall - very good and would recommend.More
The best restaurant we went to in Malta! Exquisite traditional food and service!
We had some very tasty Maltese platter, vegetable soup (so much flavour!) and rabbit stew + Maltese desserts (the gingerbread icecream really surprised me).
We would highly recommend and go back when...visiting Malta again.More
We visited this restaurant for the first time last week after a friend recommended it. Its up a dead end alley and if it wasnt for the sign just before Pizza Hut would be easy to miss. The restaurant looks charming and traditional and am...sure would be cosy in the winter. We sat outside and it was pleasantly cool. It certainly wouldnt win any awards for setting as you are surrounded by tall office buildings and apartments. But as we like peace and quiet when we eat it suited us well. Would be nice to have some plants or flowers to add a bit of colour but i presume this area doesnt belong to the restaurant. But the quality of food and service makes up for any shortcomings with regards to setting. The two foreign waitresses who dealt with us were professional, helpful and efficient. The restaurant seemed to adhere to protocol with regards to covid 19, The tables were well spaced out, our temperatures were taken on arrival and contact details. The menu covers a wide range of dishes and there were also specials which the waitress carefully described. We selected the maltese platter which was ample for two people as served with crackers and warm ftira bread. There was the usual mix of beans, olives, cheeses, dips and sausage and all were delicious. We both ordered the beef tagliata and asked for it be cooked medium to well done . The steak was just as we ordered tender full of flavour and no blood. This was served on a bed of roast veg and with rocket and cheese shavings and also a generous portion of potatoes. The wine covered a good range of wines both in price and country of origin. Thought wine prices fair and started from 14,50 a battle. Good also to see the choice of local water as always feel its a rip off when charged 7 euros for a bottle of foreign water. We enjoyed the evening and hope to return to maybe try some of their fish dishes. The prices were very fair considering the portions and the fact that the vegetables were all included in mains priceMore

We do not have a children's menu however we do offer chicken nuggets and chips, plain pasta, pasta with butter, pasta with plain tomato sauce, pasta with ham and cream as these are the most popular requests from parents. We also suggest Ravioli, pasta mixed with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce,
steamed or baked fresh fish, plain grilled chicken breast, fresh home made soups, mash potatoes, rice dishes, seasonal vegetables, local baked pork is tender and adequate, veal escalopes stuffed with ham and cheese and serve with a cream sauce.
