TEX MEX is Malta's ONLY authentic American Bar & Grill, having moved to our present Chic & Trendy venue on the Sliema Strand. TEX MEX offers an American style menu with some Mexican influence, with a choice of favourite TEX MEX dishes. Although always seasoned accordingly our menu is by no means hot & spicy in it's entirety except for items which are indicated so according to our chili pepper heat meter which allows you to heat up most dishes to your liking by means of specially imported chili peppers & ingredients. The revised menu includes all our classic favorites plus a wider selection of platters, appetizers, chicken, fish & pasta choices all prepared fresh to order whilst our fully stocked bar offers two for one on cocktails daily from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm! Be it breakfast/brunch, lunch or late afternoon and evening meals the majority of our vast menu is offered all day long from noon with our favourite signature dishes being the Quality Fresh Prime Cut Steaks, Wagyu Burgers & Baby Back Ribs all island famous whilst offering excellent value for money. In fact TEX MEX is open all day hosting djs and live music on most nights. The ambience is the latest in design and decor, lively & pleasant also offering seafront patio dining. We where a group of 12 people the place was really busy. We asked the manager a big guy that looks scary at first but he was an angel he accommodate everything we asked for first we asked if we could have some private area to discuss some work issues he promptly moved some tables around so we can get our space waiters where so nice to us especially jelena she was so attend to our needs.Food is to die for from the simplicity of a garlic bread to the steak cooked to perfection and what about the cocktails we tried there new cocktails the candy floss suggested by the manager cocktail looks something that pops out of a colourfull animation and usless to say they tasted divine Tex Mex sliema be proud 👏 you can only teach how to treat you clients

Pre-booked our booth.
Started with happy hour cocktails. These were amazing. We watched as the barmaid freshly prepared them, including spun sugar decorations. Beautifully garnished. Tasted great. Stayed to eat too.
Thoroughly recommend a visit. Right on the main walkway around the bay.

We arrived just in time for the 2 for 1 cocktail happy hour and they were excellent. We then had 1 portion of ribs and 2 mac n cheese with chicken and chorizo. All were excellent. It was fairly early in the evening so not too busy. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth a shot if you're on the Strand in Sliema.

I checked with the waiter the size of a half rack of ribs and he used his hands to show 7-8 inches. When the ribs arrived, I was aghast. It was nothing like what was explained to me or what is served everywhere else as ribs. I asked it I could have rice instead of chips or jacket potatoes and was served with a dish of cold rice. I asked to have it heated and that took several minutes.
Inspite of not really enjoying the meal I stupidly gave a 3 euro tip. The waiter went pass me 3 times and never once said "thank You" maybe he expected more.

My friend and I came in for drinks tonight. They took over 30 minutes to come and when we told the staff they didn’t seem to care. We completely understand that they are busy but that was outrageous. They should have made it clear before we sat down that we would have to start eating our food without our drinks. Save your time and just go somewhere else on the strand!

I’m really sorry I didn’t take a picture of the burnt 18€ burger they served me. Half the meat was burnt to a crisp, the bread looked like it was days old, the service was horrendous, there was this waiter with a beard that had an attitude, I think he was Spanish or Mexican, other waiters looked like it was their first day on the job. I’d never go back there again. The food was nothing like the Tex Mex we went to in Marsaxlokk.

We had such a lovely meal here! Me and my partner visited Malta for a New Year’s Eve treat for the week. My partner had a full rack of ribs which he thoroughly enjoyed! They were succulent , fell off the bone, plenty of meat on them and very tasty! He highly recommends specially with the chicken wings on top! The portions are huge so would recommend going with hungry bellies.
Me being a vegetarian (I don’t know how we work to be honest 😂) there was so many options for me ! I decided to get the veggie bean quasedila stack! Which was sooooo yummy! But the portion size was way to big for me !
Over all we would highly recommend this place and will be back again if in Malta!

Fancied something that wasn’t pasta or pizza so this did the job.
Great choice of Mexican food and tasty.
The location is on the “strip” as it were so people are walking through, which if you’re not expecting or wanting then I’d ask to sit inside.
I had the quesadillas which were great but wanted a side of guacamole which came in a very small bowl for €5 - tad steep! The Elvis chicken burger was delicious though!

Me and my friend visited this place to enjoy an American meal. I have to admit that I am not such a meat lover,I ate the "tree cheese burger" it was OK but if I could I would have picked something else. It had too much taste of the meat something that I didn't like and the sos wasn't so good. Although my friend was very pleased with the barbecue ribs (original recipe).
In my opinion it was overpriced.

Food was good (chicken fajitas were expensive at €25) but I wouldn’t go back there because of the music. It was absolutely blasting and none of the songs were recognisable. Plus there was a guy playing guitar next door who was really good…it would have been great if they could have just turned off the ‘music’ outside and let us listen to him!

The fillet steak my husband had was amazing & the ribs I had were fabulous! I’m so glad I had the half otherwise I think I would have passed out LOL! Very generous portions & the ribs were thick with succulent meat. Delicious! We also had the stuffed jalapeños & some chicken wings, also delicious. Staff were friendly & attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Visited on a Saturday. Food and drinks were great. Although a bit pricey, the huge portion make up for it. Given it was the weekend they were still completely adhering to protocols - booths were left empty, people were not on top of one another, waiters and bartender (and the DJ!) all in masks which stayed on their face throughout. Would gladly visit again.

The food here is outrageous - thoroughly recommend the enchiladas! They were huge and came with a range of accompaniments. The meat inside was slow cooked and tender. I also strongly recommend a mango frozen daiquiri!

Had some family over from abroad and we decided to go out for some drinks.
Being in Sliema, we went to Tex Mex and I've got to tell you, it was nothing but amazing!
As soon as we arrived, the waiter immediately gave us the tables we needed whilst respecting all Covid-19 measures.
He notified us that Happy Hour was ongoing and that we should have a look at the cocktails they serve. Needless to say, the cocktails were absolutely divine! One cocktail better than the other.
We also ordered some platters and the food was extraordinary.
The Manager, Anthony was always making sure that every table is happy with the service and checking up that everything is up to the standards they so highly work with.
We will be there again for sure!

Stopped here for burger night. We weren't disappointed. The burgers are handmade and cooked on open flame. We went for the 300g choice and it was really nice.
What I most liked, is that is wasn't overcooked. Still had a little pink in the middle.
As always this was my moment in time.
