Excellent meal and restaurant ambience. Stunning views across the bay to Valletta.
Food and service of a very high standard, priced accordingly - but worth a treat now and then.
Would highly recommend a visit. Need to book in advance via their website.

We had a lovely evening at the Chophouse yesterday. We decided on the taster menu which was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were very accommodating, we’d booked to eat inside because we didn’t know the layout of the restaurant and our host took the time to suggest we would be happier sitting outside (which we were, the view of Valletta was amazing!)
All the staff took great pride in the menu and what we thought. We had a fantastic experience and we hope to revisit again before we go home so we can have steak as what we tried last night was superb!

Amazing food, fantastic service and views to die for. We visited the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a delight.
Three of us had the tasting menu and matching wines - each course was amazing.
The staff were more than accommodating to cater for my daughter dietary needs when she ordered separately from the a la carte menu, which meant we could all enjoy a fantastic meal together. Marcos knowledge and passion for the wines he served was a joy to listen to. All of the staff went above and beyond to make our night a truly memorable occasion - specifically Jasmine, Natalia, Sharan and Marco. We could not decide which course we liked the best - our only option is come back and sample them again!!!

Located in front of Valletta with a suggestive view. We went for a business dinner; the tables placed under the veranda were too close together and the noise of the place was really excessive. Tables without equipment or, alas, cutlery rests.
For a starter we took the smoked gbejna, that is, a smoked sheep's cheese on a couscous base. The second course is an excellent ribeye of Argentinian meat, perfectly cooked; as a side dish they brought us grilled vegetables and baked new potatoes, not original but pleasant. The cake is good with a tart base and white chocolate cream. The service was very courteous but slow. The quality of the raw materials and the preparations are certainly of a high standard, but the service needs to be improved and the prices are quite high.

The tasting menu started off well, but as more guests arrived to the restaurant things started to go downhill. They were clearly understaffed for the number of guests and we had to wait nearly 45 mins for the fish course on the tasting menu, and a considerable amount of time for some of the previous courses. Once we mentioned this things did pick up, but this meant that, twice, we were brought our food before the wine pairing had arrived, not good at all. The sea bass was underwhelming with stalks left on the spinach, and the skin left on but not crispy at all, also both myself and my partner couldn’t taste the hazelnut in the sauce. The steak was tasty but the Pak Choi was over seasoned to the point of being inedible. I still think for the price it was a reasonable menu, but there just weren’t enough staff members and you could see that the stress was getting to them, with the bartender having to jump in just to keep things going. The service was slow but slow but we interpreted this as a fault from senior management not providing enough staff, rather than the servers themselves. There was also an extremely loud large table at the end of the outside section, which completely brought the ambiance down, also there is only a single toilet cubicle for male and female, which is frankly; utterly ridiculous for a restaurant of that size. I don’t think we will be visiting again, unfortunately.

This rest certainly does not live up to the reviews others have written, unfortunately.
The only positive was the Dutch wine waiter who tried to present the wine and its nuances. But in our world, the wine unfortunately did not get its due.
The dishes meant that you didn't get that out of the wine at all, as the wine waiter otherwise tried to tell us.
The bread that was served seemed dry and not at all homemade.
Most dishes were not presented very well and the plate/bowl was just put on the table.
The price for the many dishes and accompanying wine menu was quite excellent. About €100 per person
But it doesn't take much to elevate this menu, so you're not left with a bad dining experience.
The worst thing about the whole visit was that there were two families with very young children, where the parents just let their children run around and didn't take care of it, we were quite a few who were not satisfied with that.
We have children ourselves and have nothing against children joining the restaurant, but each thing in its own time.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accomadating from the minute we walked through the door and until we left
The food was equally on par, with great wine recommendations to go with our meal and excelent meat quality cooked to perfection.
Once we finished our meal we was offered a table outside to have our dessert and take in the evening vista of Valleta which was a. Nice touch.
Would definitly recommend.

We went there to treat ourselves as we like in France.
However, it did not live up to our expectations… and the “Michelin” announcement.
the staff is very pleasant; smiling and attentive. The cocktails are beautiful but you don't smell the alcohol
Afterwards, the dishes were served (we had agreed on the food and wine pairing), the starter arrived even though we had not finished the aperitif... but listening, they slowed down the service
A little disappointed on the dish with the spinach, I had some very acidic places, the risotto lacked seasoning, the red meat: the vegetables served were bland, the sauce spoiled the taste of the meat. As for the red wine... for a 2019 it no longer had any body, strange for a Saint Emilion! We who are from the region had tasted much better…
Should we perhaps have taken à la carte? I don't know !
But otherwise very nice view; very beautiful scenery in the evening!
We had a good evening, thanks to the staff!

We booked this restaurant for lunch after reading trip advisor reviews, what a mistake , the service was appalling with probably the most arrogant sommelier I've ever met. The food was not the best, chateaubriand you had to hack at with a steak knife to cut , burger on menu but no offer of any relishes.
Trying to get a drink was nearly impossible, when we did manage to attract a waiters attention he only served that one person , didn't ask if everyone else was OK for drinks.
Also no one even asked how our food was, we won't be back or recommending it.

We got married at the Chophouse last year and highly recommend it to any couples looking to get married in Malta. We had over 100 guests and the evening ran so smoothly thanks to Keith and his staff; food was delicious, waiters and waitresses attentive and plentiful and all our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever attended!
We returned for our anniversary yesterday and again received a first class experience. All the staff were brilliant, the views breathtaking and the food was just unbelievable - both the ribeye and fillet steaks were the best we have ever tasted!
We cannot wait to return, and highly recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Very disappointed about the experience: location is incredible nice, with a fantastic view , but it is overpriced if we speak about service and food. First of all, I came to try the Testing Menu I read on their website, and I discovered that it was different because they didn’t update their page and the price now is 10€ more than the previous one. As the Testing menu was not as the one I chose, I asked for a steak tartare as starter and vegan plate as main dish. The starter was terrible: what they call “tartare” is a bruschetta with a bit of meat and pesto sauce and the taste was not good at all. The Main course I took called Oyster Mushroom is simply a few slices of baked potato and few mushrooms here and there. The price for both plates was 18€ that is definitely too expensive if I think about quality and quantity of what I eat. Poor service, waiters didn’t explained the dishes … I spent a total of 40.50€ to then come back at home to eat again! I recommend it only for a drink with a nice view!

The website was still in the process of being updated. The new degustation menu has new interesting items hence why the increase of 5 Euro.

We decided to try Chophouse on our final night of our Malta holiday, it was the most special final meal. The staff are incredible with impeccable English, making it simple to order with dietary requirements. We ordered starters and mains, both exceptional. To begin they gave us bread and a dip to try. Our starters were brought shortly after, I would say the portions are huge… I had the tagliatelle beef ragout and the portion could have been suffice as a main. For the main I had the Chophouse Burger, this burger may be the best I’ve ever tasted! It was brilliant and comes with triple cooked chips and a truffle mayo (also Devine). Overall this was definitely a Michelin restaurant and I can see why it has been rewarded so in 2024. A must try in Sliema, even just go for the view of Valletta !!

Quiet and very pleasant setting with a superb view. Our choice fell on the tasting menu with the food/wine pairing. The pace of the service punctuated by the interventions of the sommelier was perfect. With the exception of a too present feeling about the salt in the risotto and the emulation accompanying the sea bass, nothing to complain about everything else

We chose the Chophouse for our wedding dinner, and I am so glad we did. From the start the team was very accommodating, professional and a pleasure to work with.
They prepared a custom meal for us, and it was one of the best we have tasted. The food was cooked perfectly. They listened to our requests, ideas and dietary requirements and came up with the most perfect menu for us. I cannot rate the quality of the food enough. All of our guests all told us it was one of the best meals they have ever had.
We also ate at the venue before the wedding and ate from their own menu, and again the food was amazing.
The venue itself is great, the staff are pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable.
I would 100% recommend this venue for a night out for food, or even for any big event that you have. We trusted them with our wedding and we had the perfect day.

No words here can describe the wonderful food and the absolute perfectly trained staff. I chose the degustation menu, which included 7 courses and corresponding wines. It was all perfectly made, looked so wonderful and was presented in the best possible way. Wine and food were served in perfect timed precision with single explanations. They are only a breath away from high class Michelin kitchen. And, to be honest, for the quality of the food, and all the love and action they put in all aspects, the menu was priced too low. Lucky for me. I would recommend this restaurant any time, without thinking. A table reservation is also recommended.
