The best of the restaurants we visited during our recent holiday. The owner is friendly and clearly passionate about offering a first class dining experience. The food is exceptional - presentation and quality are both outstanding - and the wine list is extensive and reasonably...priced. I would have no hesitation in returning and would commend this to visitors to Malta looking for an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Thank you!More

Underestimated the place, had visited a very long time ago, but the food, the service and the atmosphere were amazing. Saturday evening diner with the family was an outing I will have to repeat. The place offers a vegan menu, so we had no problem...with the choice of food. Selection was vast, both fish and meat dishes were ordered, timely and delightfully served to our satisfaction. A good selection of wines is available and dessert was the cherry on the cake. A repeat is a must.More

Lovely dinner for 2. The ambience was warm and welcoming and covid friendly. Excellent Guinea fowl doughnut as a starter. The veal lucerto was lovely: tender, tasty and filling. Sweet wasn't as good as it used to be in the past. A good wine list...and very reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and helpful. RecommendableMore

We visited to celebrate a birthday and opted for the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing being seated in the balcony. First of all, the view from the balcony is amazing, having a clear view of the world renowned Mosta dome. The balcony was a...bit hot, although it being September in Malta and of course not air-conditioned (though the rest of the restaurant was), this wasn't surprising. Moving on to the food, we opted to choose our own dished (though you may also opt to allow the chef to surprise you), and each course was a joy to behold. The way the flavours were made to work together was pure art, and the wine pairing was expertly handled by our server. All of this made our visit to the Lord Nelson an extremely memorable one. In conclusion, to anyone who wants to experience excellent fine dining, this is the place to go. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and for the service given, the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend it!More

It is at the upper end of the moderate price range. It also depends on what you drink. Everything is priced on the menu.

Everyone looked attractively dressed, but the ambiance is relaxed. Coat and tie not necessary.

Not really! Though people wear casual smart. I would say jeans shirt and a smart jacket would be fine.
