Excellent Lunch with all the family last Saturday in the open air coupled with an excellent meal and very good service.
A safe & excellent environment.
Will re-visit soon.
Prosit to the Management & Staff.
Very sad experience, the place turns into a nightclub apparently and unfortunately we did not know this. Very loud music, unable to even talk properly. Waiters had 0 interest- rushing to the table and leaving before everyone had even given the order (happened twice). To...top off ending the night on a bad not, i went to the bar to get the bill as waiter was obviously nowhere in site, gave it to me and he asked the barman to go offer a drink on the house to our table as it was one of the persons' bday which was great, sadly we waited around 20minutes he never came. Meat was good and well cooked however one of the few places to arrogantly charge you extra for a side of veg or potatoes to your steak. Surely never visiting again.More
I was there yesterday for my birthday.,first time went to the new area outside with beautiful sunset very relaxing like you're in the country side. As always great food and service and felt very safe eating there. I will recommend
We visited for Sunday Lunch with my son and family friends.
The steaks were delicious and the staff friendly and efficient.
Sulky Horse Racing takes place on the course just outside the window, making the meal great fun as our little group of five each...chose a horse in every race.!
It seemed a great venue for families with young children - unlike a lot of restaurants - the children appeared to be having a good time watching the races whilst their parents lunched.More
Chukkas at Mosta is a relatively recent offshoot of its parent at Marsa. On my recent first visit with 2 friends, we thoroughly enjoyed delicious calamari and superb steaks with a reasonably-priced bottle of Maltese wine. These were first-class, as also was the service in...all respects. The restaurant is a little way from the centre of Mosta and it was easy to park close to it. With a bar on the way in, it has a spacious room for diners, with one part separated; and the furnishings are adequate. We arrived a little before 8pm, which is early by Maltese standards, but despite our going on a Tuesday, it was almost full by the time we left. I strongly recommend this Restaurant and suggest booking in advance, as it has become very popular, though not inexpensive.More
This restaurant opened a few months ago. I have been to Chukkas twice over a 15 day period. On the first visit we each had calamari fritti followed by pork belly and grilled pork with a bottle of Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanch Special Reserve that...was wonderful with the calamari. On the second visit we had pasta tartufo that was devine and shared a Tomahawk steak. Excellent dishes.More
Came to this restaurant whilst visiting a friend who lives in Malta the staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing what to eat
The menu had a great choice of meats fish and pasta dishes as did the specials board
The...food was absolutely delicious and the portions were good as well
Id definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for somewhere great to eatMore
Following my birthday week, my family decided to surprise me at Chukkas for a family dinner. We were around 14 people with 2 kids. The staff were all friendly and catered to our needs, including anyone who is gluten intolerant.
We ordered a mix of...starters, starting from the Chukkas Special, the livers and sizzling sausages. While for the mains, everyone ordered their meat according to their requirement and taste. The wait for the food was reasonably good and the food was labelled accordingly so as not to have any mix up when it comes to medium or rare meat. Everything was divine and had no complaints.
The only criticism, or more like a suggestion, would be that the place requires some soundproofing as at times I could hear more the people on the other tables speaking than my own table. Maybe some sound-absorbing mats may be installed on the black ceiling would help immensely.
I highly recommend this place and make sure to try out their desserts too.More
