Very nice restaurant matching the Mdina ambient. The starters were not that great. We had a Bacchus salad, which was small and not fresh enough and couscous with Maltese sausage and pineapple, which was interesting but not great. For main we had pasta ragù e fagioli and risotto with pumpkin. Both dishes were delicious and playful on the tongue. The... More

Only stopped in here for afternoon coffee but so wish we'd come earlier for lunch. The restaurant is in what was the cellar or store area although there is an outside eating area in a lovely garden which is where we had our coffee. To access this outer area we were guided through a beautiful function area where I have... More

The lighting of the outdoor secret garden at Bacchus restaurant is stunning, making it a romantic restaurant to visit and while away an evening in mdina. The building itself is steeped in history, which you can read about in the menu and by reading the press cuttings in the building. The food was delicious, my husband said it was the... More

Decided to sgop for lunch whilst exploring the mdina and called in to Bacchus in Inguanez Alley. The restaurant is in a cellar setting and was once an ammunition store during the napoleonic era. Baccus was well decorated and the staff were very welcoming and showed a very good knowledge of the dishes on the menu and of the wines... More

An excellent restaurant set in one of the old watch towers in Mdina's city wall with a beautiful secret garden dinning area. Both the food and service are excellent and very reasonably priced given the location. A wonderful dinning experience that I would highly recommend.

The setting of this restaurant is stunning the staff attentive enough. To say this restaurant is expensive is a joke .OK the standard of food was not to the level of a high end restaurant .but if you expect fillet of beef at a high standard for under 50 euros then you have not been to a high end restaurant.... I love Mdina and so decided to visit Bacchus as the place is in a stunning setting. Unfortunately the food and service are not on par with the setting. Straight off, as soon as we entered there was no one to greet us and show us the way out to the garden (in Summer meals are served here), we simply... More

We recently dined here with some family who live in Malta, could not fault the restaurant t in any shape or form. The food was sensational and the secret garden in which we ate was magical. The service was extremely good and every need was attended to. We where also lucky to see be given a historical talk about the... More
