How awesome is it to be able to walk around the Old City Mdina after dusk and find yourself standing in front of the heavy doors of Bacchus restaurant? It was amazing. You soak up the atmosphere of beautiful architecture, and when I was there in December, the place was rather empty, making me feel halfway incognito in a lost... More

Only 30 minutes by bus from Valletta, we came across Bacchus walking around the streets of Mdina, having been less than impressed with some of the other restaurants we had passed. We expected it to be yet another tourist oriented restaurant with low standards but were proved wrong. Attractive from the outside, it was charming and cosy inside. The main... More

Yesterday me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant and I have to say I was overwhelmed with service and the mouth watering food. It was a pleasurable night in a very welcoming place. The place is not too pricey when in comparison to the service.

My partner and I went for dinner at Bacchus a few months ago. I ordered the home-made lasagne which was absolutely delicious as it different from that we are used to home. As expected the portion was somewhat small and was disappointed that there was not more left to eat! My partner took the lamb which was also delicious. The... More

Disappointed with the food and service! I'm not going again! It's disgusting the waitress start argument with me for the coriander, she said this is lake a parsley and for this I don't recognise that. I order salad with avocado, coriander and mozzarella. I have a tomato and mozzarella. No avocado, no coriander no parsley. The wine they serve in... More

Returned to the Bacchus after several years and once again was not disappointed. The starters we had were artichoke salad, and asparagus tempura, both of which were delicious. For the main course we both had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection with excellent fresh vegetables all washed down with a really good local red wine. Unbeknown to... More

I don't know about you, but in winter I like restaurants to be warm, and I know I'm in trouble if my feet and the back of my neck are cold. The main entrance door of Bacchus is a heavy sliding one, and visitors clearly find it difficult to open and impossible to close. The main dining room of this... More

but superb food as well. We had lunch here and I had Asparagus soup which was delicious and my partner had the fish soup which was full of shellfish and a million times better than the soup I had had elsewhere for only 2euros more!

Very good food, Dined both indoor and at the "secret garden", As the place has an indoor area, the lovely garden is over the bastions (which is beautiful for lunch) 4/5 cause I feel it needs an upgrade to reach its full potential.

We came for lunch and wanted to sit outside in the sunshine in the garden they sad that the courtyard was closed. The interior is a beautiful setting and I can imagine at night with candles it would be very romantic. The service and food was good to start with, we had a selection of starters to share which were... More
