Been there for a graduation meal. The prices are way too high and the plates are meagre portions. The ambiance is nice and rustic so thumbs up for that.

This large restaurant is near the main gate into Mdina. It was one of the few open on a Sunday evening too (about 6pm). There is a little path up to the building in which people were drinking coffee just inside the entrance. There are two rooms beyond with arched ceilings and walls that are a thousand years old. It... I have been visiting Bacchus restaurant for a number of times and I was always very satisfied. With its one of a kind atmosphere, amazing food and service, it's one of the top restaurants in Malta. I highly suggest snails or aljotta fish soup for starter, fish fillet for main and white cheesecake for dessert. I would like to personally... More

Nothing wrong with the service, but the food was overpriced and below par. It clearly felt it was serving a much better quality than it was. The soup was flavourless and the veg that accompanied the mains were close to raw.

Housed in the walls of the ancient town of Mdina, this restaurant is worth visiting just to see it inside. Hewn from rock, diners are surrounded by limestone in a nicely lit environment. The vaulted ceiling shows off Maltese use of limestone to the fullest. Food: excellent. I can not comment accurately on price because we were here as part... More

Wife and I stopped in for lunch whilst walking around Mdina. Firstly what a great place, set in a vaulted brick building. The food was fantastic, slow cooked shin of beef. House wine was ok, I'd go slightly better quality next time. Pudding was fab. Altogether a fantastic place to eat!
