Grape vine covered courtyards, home grown herbs, multi coloured lights, and a myriad of wind chimes give a flirtatious wink of what's to come. You feel like a special guest in your best friend's home. If you have visited Coogi's before then you surely don't need reminding that the courtyards, bastions and internal medieval rooms are simply magical when bathed in soft candle light. Dining beneath the orange trees, accompanied by the tinkling of wind chimes, and the sound of running water is to be transported to a peaceful place which is all to easy to forget still exists here in Malta.
The atmosphere is really cosy, relaxing, there is an romantic terrace with an amazing view for summer and in winter it is really nice to stay inside. In the walls there are very nice paintings of local artists.
The food is superb: always fresh, plenty...of variety, good portion and very tasty (Maltese traditional food + Italian cuisine). Plenty of choice for vegetarian and vegan!!
Quality-price absolutely well balanced !!
Suggestions : Flan di zucchini (typical of Italian region of Piemonte) is really really good !
Fettuccine al Ragu' di coniglio (rabbit ragu') amazing, really tasty !!
They also have rabbit burger - worth to try :)
Everything is amazing and good quality.
Last but not least, the place is really cleaned and very well kept.
Interesting experience. We have eaten here twice before and eaten well. We planned to book for the evening but also dropped in at 12 o'clock to have a drink and maybe go on to have a bit of lunch. When we were met by a...waiter we were told only eat. Fair enough. He then said very pointedly "this is a restaurant " in other words "f##k off". Shall not be going back. Loss off business two meals for 4 around €300 at a time when because of Covid Mdina is like a ghost town. Shame.More

However it seems strange that you were told so as during COVID...More
Location, ambience and decor is great. Food was amazing and timely despite a large variety of dishes on the table. Staff were also helpful and polite.
To top it off, view from the terrace is stunning.
Great work coogi's
We had a lunch there, the place was not busy that day, it was a lovely time. The place itself is so charming, you can eat in a small garden, on a terrace with panoramic view, or inside. The menu offers a lot of dishes,...with multiple vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Excellent service, fast and friendly. Strongly recommend it.More
