Quite a regular at Q-Bar and I've never been disappointed. Fantastic service, vast menu and delicious food.

Visited this restaurant 3 times last week and on each occasion staff has been extremely friendly and accommodating. Service with a smile no matter how late in the evening I went, and even when it was close to closing time and asked them for the...bill as having worked in catering myself I know how unpleasant it can be getting stuck longer hours because of a customer, they insisted that I should enjoy my drinks without any worries as they would be taking time to close inside and thus no rush in vacating the premises. Stayed outside each time because of the fact that I am a smoker and they even took the time to check if the volume of the music was too loud and interfering with my conversation and offered to lower the volume if needed which I though was very considerate of them considering that music volume was not loud in my opinionMore

We had some cocktails here when it was exceptionally quiet. Despite there being a button on the table to get the bill, it obviously didn't work. The waiter was nowhere to be seen in 10/15 mins and we were in a rush. I had to...walk back inside the bar and some staff member told me to 'talk to the other guy' Really poor service, spent about 25 minutes more than we wanted to.More

We came here for dinner. They came twice to take the order to double check everything we ordered was correct. They suggested we had some bruschetta while waiting for our food to be served. Generous portions, average taste, fair prices.

Underneath cold-white lighted gazebos (this will give every face that nasty fishmarket-look) one waits quite some time until the food can be ordered. It was a Saturday evening, NOT particularly busy, just a normal weekend at the Valletta Waterfront. The group arrived at 9pm, I...arrived 25 minutes later. Drink orders were taken at 9.30pm. The headwaiter finally showed up after(!) 10pm to take the food orders. At this time, many other guests had already finished and left. A bit later, previously ordered appetizers were served. However, the headwaiter could have asked for main course orders much earlier - just the be prepared or for acting faster in the kitchen. I predicted that we wouldn't get our food served until 11.30pm - and I was almost right: Food was finally served between 11.10 and 11.20pm. However, the waiters and especially the headwaiter could stick to that basic rule of serving: NEVER EVER do it 'across the table' and always from the guest's left or right. It's not nice to feel the headwaiter's belly from behind when he's trying to serve the other side. Well, that's typical 'Waterfront greed': place tables in a way that you can't handle them from every side ... 😖 The main course which was presented after 100+ minutes was a very good portion and tasted very well. However I entertained myself with a lot of Maltese bread and butter beforehand because I had been f*cking hungry all the time ... This place could actually be GOOD if the service wouldn't be so TERRIBLE. Overall: POOR. Smokers beware: even outside you're NOT welcome!More

First and foremost for anyone thinking of booking here, I would highly not recommend it. We had quite a big table so we could not be seated inside, some restaurant we have been in which offer tables outside do a very good job at making...sure the area is ventilated at all times, however not in this one, with all those table outside there where only 3 fans barely reaching any table, to make things worse there was no breeze. The food takes ages to arrive, we where seated at 1.30 pm and finally after 2 hours the food arrived, exactly at 3.30 pm, 2 hours waiting for food is a complete joke, but wait... I ordered pizza, I can assure you, frozen ones tastes better, they make the worse dough imaginable, the one where the bottom is "crisp" and the middle is chewy, was thinking it was not cooked all the way however I was not willing to wait god knows how long for a new one. When half of the table got food, 2 waiter came with what we thought where the remaining of the orders, however guess what, they where the wrong orders, 4 different dishes to be exact. At this point we were confused if we should laugh or cry as it is a complete disorganization, manager with the gold chain on his neck which is highly unprofessional in my opinion and he looked like the type of guy who would snap at any second. For that type or service and food I would not say the prices are adequate. 2 thing I cannot complain on is the desert which I believe was not homemade however it was delicious (maltesers something) judging from the food and the black waiter, he was very polite and helpful.More

This place needs a fully blown fumigation to rid it of the stale oil smell which pervades the entire interior and sticks to clothing and belongings. If you're that desperate to dine here, at least do yourself a favour and choose to stay outside. The...cocktails are forgettable, the food is tourist trap style and the carbonara is served with cream. The pasta itself wasn't even cooked properly taking al dente to a whole new level with clumps of pasta being completely uncooked in the plate. The place needs a revamp and overhaul yesterday but it can probably rest on the numerous cruise liner tourists and still get by.More

We were told to sit in the gazebo despite the chilly night as indoors was full. We had heaters ignited, and we could easily ignore the cold wind, which sometimes seeped from under the gazebo’s covers. Right of the bat, the customer service was very...good in my opinion. There were not excessive stiff formalities, but that probably due to us being of the same nationality as the owners so there was a bit more confidence. The menu was relatively varied and there were indicators and disclaimers all over so you would know what you are about to eat in terms of allergens, plate temperature etc. That is something I really liked. On the other hand, it contained pictures of food, which is a rather old notion. Drinks came immediately, but we did not order anything fancy so I cannot comment on that. The cheesy bruschetta’s came quickly, they were delicious and kept the hunger off the edge until the mains came alone, which they did all at the same time, something which I personally really like. We took a Sirloin Fillet, with a pepper sauce which could have had a more creamy consitency; a very good pizzotto house special (which I took, it was well cooked and a perfect balance of ingredients), a basic pasta with some red sauce, unimpressive but it was intended to be like that. In addition, a carbonara, which while it was well cooked, it contained an excessive amount of bacon gristle, which detracted from the eating experience. On the other hand, the desserts, both the off-the-self and in-house specialties were all delicious. While the pricing is not astronomically high, it is pushing the monetary ceiling higher than the average restaurant, which offer similar food. Because of the multitude of little caveats mentioned, I can say it was a decent experience for most of us and I can only speak for myself when I say that I am personally willing to go back and explore more items on the menu.More

This is down at the end of the Waterfront Strip. A carelessly run piece of tourist flypaper. All the cliched list of casual disregard for customers with poorly executed Italian Classics top of the list. Walk away from the table with credit card without explanation....Desperate to be still encountering this type of con.More

We ended up here on our first night in Malta, drawn in by some of the descriptions on the menu and we were not disappointed. I had the stuffed calamari which was delicious and my partner had the chicken galentini, which was a very generous...serve. The staff were very attentive and the meals were reasonably priced.More

I visited this bar for a drink with 2 friends on a Sunday night, it was getting quite late so asked our waiter where we could get a taxi from due to staying a 20min drive away, and he said he would call one. He...didn't come back to our table so I called him over to ask if he'd called on and he informed me he had and that we should wait where we was. We waited and waited whilst various different waiter kept coming over to say it was coming. After an hour or so my friend went into the bar to ask if it was actually coming, when she was told 'it's coming but probably in the morning' by now it was 1am and we started to feel quite uncomfortable about the whole situation. I decided to go in and ask for the taxi number as i wanted to call one myself, when I went in a man I hadn't seen was on the phone (apparently to the taxi company), I asked him to give me the phone and he refused, and I asked him to give me a number and he refused. So we decided to walk out, when walking round the side to the bar to go find our own taxi one of the younger waiters came running round and asked for my phone, he put in a number and said to ring this number for a taxi as there wasn't one coming. Luckily a taxi came round the corner and we flagged it down. Just a warning for young groups of girls visiting this bar, I'm not sure of the men's intentions however we were made to feel uncomfortable.More
