You have to queue as it was very busy when we went, but it was worth it. We had a lovely view over the town and the cream cakes are absolutely gorgeous. It was well worth the wait

Loved the old city pub in Birgu. Just near to the main gate of Birgu they served good honest food and drinks at reasonable prices. No frills etc but great position to sit and watch the world go by
I went with my feiends to se Lokomotiv Moskva vs Juventus, ve had a bunch of drinks, some snaks, very low prices, very good food! Our team, Juventus, won 2-1 so we were very happy! Inside inst too much space but it has a nice...maritime design. The best thing about this place is that the food is tasty, the drinks are cheap, and on game night, if i'm in Valletta - Malta, this is where your going to find me!More
Food is lovely here and the service is good. An old fashioned establishment set by the memorial. You can sit here and watch the world go by
We had lunch here on a cold and wet day. It is cheap and cheerful and had great service. I had the grilled chicken wrap which was just delicious, and my husband had all day breakfast which he enjoyed.
We remembered this old pub from then one my friends had a yacht moored on "c" pontoon just over the quayside in grand harbour marina. We used go to little pub for basic English breakfast at a very reasonable price if the outside is open,...but inside is dingy and dark just is I remembered it. The bar situated just outside the City Gate of Birgu is not pretentious. The food is plentiful and good, the bar is well used by locals consequently the prices reflect this for a sensible price. Not too bright inside but seating outside lets you watch the world go by. In addition, free WIFI too, would recommend this place if it a try.More
The Manager and staff in this family run pub can not do enough for you and are happy to assist with changes to any menu choice if required. Very good prices and food was very good.
If you want a cheap lunch of reasonable quality and don't mind sitting amongst the local people relaxing and socialising as loudly as possible then this is the place for you. It was friendly enough but maybe the staff need to at least smile now...and again. Simple food and cheap prices.More
We discovered this bar whilst walking to the Maritime museum and ended up sitting inside as it was so hot outside! Inside we found very friendly owners and staff and a table of local fishermen talking and having coffee. The bar soon filled up with...other locals and visitors who were all eating off the menu, which offers all the lunchtime snacks you would ever want, including the local classics such as tuna ftira. Prices are very very reasonable - an excellent chicken wrap for 4 euro as an example. It was so good we returned for a second visit when visiting the nearby excellent Malta at War museum. The final icing on the cake was an adorable little chihuahua cross dog called Mochichi, owned by one of the regular customers. She will happily sit on your lap and snuggle her head in your arm. If you want a real Maltese experience, do not overlook this great bar.More
Convenient for the ferry from Valetta, the marina and the "little train" this is a dark and dingy café-bar with lots of local character. Convenient stop for a coffee, sit outside in the sun if you can. The wraps are big and well-filled and the...cakes in the window cabinet are worth a look.More
I went here after a day sightseeing in Vittoriosa. The outdoor seating is great right on the harbour and on a sunny day you can't beat it. I ordered a tuna and cheese wrap with a hot chocolate to drink. The chocolate was red hot,...thick and delicious, just how I like it! The wrap was more than just tuna and cheese. It was crisp, huge and filled with lettuce, tomato, capers and olives as well as tuna and melted cheese. I could hardly finish it. There were no prices on the board, so I was expecting in the region of €10, but no, the owner charged me €5! I was stuffed and didn't eat for the rest of the evening. It seems a place for beer drinkers too and the price for a small bottle of beer is €1.50. So if you find yourself in Vittoriosa, seek out this little bar and enjoy the food and atmosphere. I loved it!More
While we were at work in Birgu it became our hangout for the break. Tea, coffee and bread are cheap and good. The atmosphere is great and the location excellent as it is close to marina.
A good spot for a basic English breakfast at a very reasonable price if the outside is open, but inside is dingy and dark.
Stopped by for a couple of drinks, great location with views over the marina at Birgu. Close to the war museum, with outdoor seating, I was rushing for a rugby match at Hibernians Stadium in Paolo and couldn't find a taxi. The friendly owner ordered...one for us, with a smile! Though we didn't eat, the food being served looked excellent. A no frills place, great for a stop off and watch the world go by.More
