I am eating in this restaurant 2 times/week after gym.
Every single dish is perfectly seasoned.
Just the right amount of sauce, protein, veggies, carbs. Very tasty.
I recommend :
- Chicken caesar salad
- Beef avocado salad
- Gnocchi ricotta
And if you are w friends, share a guacamole focaccia !
It’s such a good quality meat as well and the price/quality/quantity is just unbeatable.
Definitely best place to have healthy good food at a fair price.
Amazing service as well : Bovan and Linson are 2 very nice servers, always smily and positive.
Thanks to the chefs that I don’t get to know and who provide these amazing dishes as well !

Best pizza’s in town. Chef Happie was exceptional had recommended us with very great pizza. Ended up having divola and calzone the best I had in Malta. Excellent service and recommendations. If ever in Malta and want to have good pizza must go to this place and ask for Chef Happie and you will never be disappointed.

We hier twice in September 2024. This place isn’t just about pizza and pasta—you’ll find much more here!
We ordered a variety of dishes: the Beef and Avocado Salad was absolutely delicious, with a perfect sauce and gentle strips of avocado: even my husband, who normally doesn’t eat salads, was in love with it! The Orecchiette Salmon with caviar was another standout, and the Gnocchi Ricotta was rich and flavorful. For dessert, we had the Torta di Pistacchi con Gelato al Mascarpone and Torta Caprese con Gelato al Arancia. Everything was so, so delicious! Our deserts looked like something straight out of the magazine!
You can tell the food is cooked with love!

At Hugo's Pizza and Pasta, our dining experience was disappointing, particularly with the quality of the pasta. Unfortunately, the pasta we received was hard, which significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. When we brought this concern to the server's attention, their response was unexpected and unsatisfactory. They indicated that it was our responsibility to explicitly request softer pasta, which left us feeling frustrated and unheard as customers. Ultimately, dissatisfied with both the food and the response from the server, we made the decision to leave without finishing our meal. Despite this, we were still required to pay the full price for food that we did not even consume, adding to our disappointment with the overall experience at Hugo's Pizza and Pasta.

Have no ideia on the quality of the food but I had to give them a flat zero on service as the host lacked basic human decency.
We were not allowed to take in a baby soup to the restaurant with the argument that they could not allow us to bring food from other place when the restaurant did not offer an alternative for baby (only soup that night was tomato soup). There were three other people in our group that would be eating and generating income for the restaurant (which, by the way, was less than half full!)
Obviously we did not stay and think that the lack of common sense and basic human decency was overwhelming!

We are not pleased to know that you had left our restaurant dissatisfied, and we are sad for not being able to serve you and possibly improve your impression.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept the food from other restaurants and we adhere to this policy. Moreover, we insist on being fair and equal to our guests, which is one of the reasons we are not making exceptions when it comes to this rule - we want to make sure that all of our guests receive the same information and that the same policy applies to each client visiting our restaurant.

Our server Akash was helpful and friendly and deserves all the credit for the 1 star given but, good grief, the food was baaaaaaddddd. It was an insult to Italian cuisine to call the lasagne and meatball 'spaghetti' pasta! It tasted worse than school dinners. The spaghetti was some sort of undercooked Udon noodle and the meatballs were certainly NOT the Angus beef mentioned on the menu (maybe turkey mince at best) though the sauce tasted like it had beef stock in it - not tomato. I was charged extra for parmezan. How cheeky is that?! It might be best to stick to pizzas at this place - the oven looks lovely. This place is for the undiscerning tourist and I'm annoyed that the reviews led me to believe we might get a decent meal. I'm going back to being suspicious of any 'restaurant' that uses pictures of food on their menu.

Worst risotto I have every ordered. I got the black forest risotto, a dish I usually order in restaurants, and it had nothing that tasted good about it and the dish was really really oily. Furthermore, the two pizzas ordered by the table were also really oily. Disappointed and dissatisfied. Do not recommend the black forest risotto!!

Good burgers but nothing exceptional, the cleaning unfortunately is as usual at mortar, waiter cleaned the tables and collected the dirt from the floor with the same patch and threw the crumbs on the jackets on the benches without paying attention to both customer goods and hygiene. Good food but nothing great, burgers as great meat, seasoning a little disappointing. Little decided in taste.

We visited twice in the week and food was absolutely incedibile. The same waiter, Boban, served us both times and remembered all our orders and treated us with the warmest hospitality of our whole holiday. Great gluten-free options, the risotto is to die for and the after-dinner liqueurs were a lovely surprise. Beyond a 5/5.

I recently dined at Hugo's Pizza and Pasta in St. Julians, Malta, and it was a great experience! As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find good meal options when dining out, but this place was a lovely exception. The food was absolutely delicious, and Boban's service was excellent! He was friendly and went out of his way to recommend some vegetarian dishes that I enjoyed. I can't recommend Hugo's Pizza and Pasta enough, especially for fellow vegetarians. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Malta!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hugo's Pizza and Past, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home.
I had the opportunity to interact with server Bobi, who was absolutely fantastic. Bobi was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Excellent food and service, great atmosphere, quick and friendly staff. Boban served us our taste dishes , he really went beyond what duty calls! Besides being very nice and professional, he also helped carry our son’s wheelchair down the steps, move tables and made us welcome. Highly recommend this restaurant! Boban is a real credit! Thanks!
