I had the best sepia pasta for lunch here today. The waiters were friendly and efficient. Service was fast (most of the time) but you didn’t feel rushed. Even when I had an espresso and dessert with a book while enjoying the view of the...bay, the staff didn’t seem too put out by it.
Definitely recommend and will probably return for a second meal during my stay in Marsalforn.More
Food was good and there were nice added touches like complementary espresso and limoncello but …. The Staff, although efficient, we’re so quick to attend it was felt like it was bordering on being pushy almost rude!
Best place to eat in Malta so far. This is our 3rd day on a 5 day trip. Best mussels I have tasted in Malta so far. I also had the local fish soup and the grilled calamari and my partner had the grilled octopus...and shared the started of mussels and local sih soup. Not just the food was excellent but also the service was very good. The location is right at the sea front with beautiful views.More
We came over on the ferry to Gozo, from Malta staying the night. Came down to the very pretty harbour. Had a beautiful lamb chops , husband has sea bass . Waiter filleted his sea bass at the table. Fantastic service.
I ate here twice on a recent trip to Gozo, once with my friend and once solo . Both times were lovely , the owner helped us choose the right wine and food and I can confirm they were amazing choices . The sharing platters...and homemade pasta are particularly good ! On my solo visit , even though the place was really busy the owner took the time to find me a table right next to the sea and even stopped to make conversation. Highly recommend this place if your are visiting Marsalforn!More
We were disappointed as although the food was good and location was great, the owner of the restaurant was pushy and very rude towards his staff. He constantly barked at them to bring people menus even though they were swept off their feet and visibly...very busy. He also screamed abuse at them and swore profusely in Maltese when they made a very small error that patrons didn't even complain about. We felt uneasy the entire time and although the food was decent, it was nothing to write home about. Disappointed. Would not return.More
I've never felt so uneasy in a restaurant in all my life. When eating there, there were so many waiters patrolling idle around the tables i felt like putting my hands up in the air so i wont be arrested. The greeting host was very...pushing and i did not like him at all. The bread was stale, the spaghetti was a pass but still the worst al mare ive ever eaten, and the desert was just frozen imqaret warmed up. Throughout the meal i couldnt help but notice the owner as he shouted, whistled and clicked his fingers to his many immigrant servers which shows the lack of respect towards his workers. (Apart from shouting a few labour party slogans) I wouldn't have left this review but i got gastric flu from the restaurant which shows that they are definitely not hygenic, as i have 2 days misery from eating there. So I would think twice before accepting the request for a table at this place, If you walk by this place someone will approach you, iether the owner or the host. Next time i defenitly wont be nice and refuse to eat there.More
My friends and I were walking past the restaurants looking at the Menu's. It was when we stopped to look at L'Aragosta's Menu that the owner came up and asked us if we would like a table. We accepted his request for a table as...we were shy, but that was a big MISTAKE. The first thing I noticed is that only a few of the waiters were wearing a face mask. The owner was fixing up the tent as they were still preparing for lunch. No hand sanitiser was used. A very helpful waitress came to take our order. The waiter served us a complimentary Bruschetta which was made of stale bread. We thought that it must have been a mistake and so we said nothing. When bread came along that to was stale and we opted not to say anything again as not cause any problems. The Starters were to our liking though the calamari were not as crispy as expected. Our main courses were served and thats when things went bad. My friend and I ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza which was doused in BBQ, full of liquid which wasn't pleasant at all. My other friend had pasta with seafood and said that it wasn't up to par and had no taste. The owner came along and started to talk to us but it was more so making fun of us and we thought that was a bit rude but we didn't mind it since we were soon going to leave. We gave the bill to the owner but he rejected it and told us to give it to a waiter. Before we gave the owner the bill he was just walking on the pavement. When we gave the bill to the waiter we waited for about 10 minutes but no change was given to us.More
