Great location by the sea. A word of advice: Go for dinner rather than lunch because you should expect a rubbish service (Rookie waiters) at off-peak times. The food, on the other hand, is amazing and has really improved over time. If you want an...averagely priced quality dinner with a gorgeous view of the sea, I recommend you go to Horizon.More

Great location by the sea. Actually at the water. Really nice food with great views. Excellent, friendly service.

Stopped for a quick lunch on Sunday. It took 90 mins to produce 2 pizzas. We had to ask for a menu, then ask for the order to be taken and then we waited, and waited, and waited.... On the positive the restaurant overlooks a...lovely little bay and has a wonderful view. The pizzas, once they came, were delightful. Will not be going back. Can not afford the time.More

We were so disappointed with the service and food here. The location is fabulous but the service was very poor. One and half hours to wait for main courses by which time we had finished a bottle of wine and eaten loads of bread. When...it finally arrived the lamb chops were supposed to be medium rare but had to be sent back as they were uncooked on one side. The waiter argued with us and told us we were in the wrong, When they came back cooked everyone else had finished. The pizzas were left by the children but burgers were good. We asked to see the manager but no apology was offered. We will not eat here again despite the great location. We were also considering the apartments to stay in potentially next year but will not return. What a shame we had expected better. We have eaten out most nights and had far better service and food at other restaurants on the island.More

The management very quickly understood our needs for a mixed group to have drinks some to move on and the majority (about 30) to stay for dinner. A very accommodating and attentive team with food befitting the occasion. Well done.

My wife and daughter had a lovely and most relaxing dinner last week at the Horizon Restaurant during our weekend at Marsalforn. My wife had grouper, my daughter opted for ravioli with Gozo cheese and I went for the fried rabbit. The portions were big...and the accompanying sides (fries and oven baked potatoes and veg) were perfectly cooked, all washed down with a lovely Merlot from Gozo grapes. For dessert we each had a chocolate granita. The service (by the owner himself) was simply faultless. The total price was 68Euros. A most reasonable one indeed. Unfortunately, our very short stay in Gozo precluded us from having another meal at this lovely place next to the Qbajjar shore.More

A tasty home made fish soup, a large caprese salad , an even bigger foccacia with a litre of white wine for €30. Unbeatable with a sea view.

I had denci white fish steak with roast potatoes and salad. The fish was OK, very fresh but not seasoned in any way. The potatoes were a disaster - frozen I think and undercooked. Salad was basic. I was expecting the potatoes to be a...baked, herby dream like elsewhere on Malta - this is a very basic restaurant pretending to offer fine dining. There is only one other restaurant at Xwenji bay - others are pizzerias or beach bars - so it gets away with this, living off tourist trade. But service was very good, fast, free pizza slice while it's cooking, fantastic location right on the quay.More

Stayed in apartment at Horizon. Good, recommended. Dined at the restaurant. Excellent view. Crowded, but they put extra chairs / table outside. Food was good. People were mostly locals - not tourists, which indicates a good place to have a drink and dinner.
