We are at the tail end of our trip around the Ring Road and this meal was the highlight of our trip thus far. We've eaten in very nice restaurants along the way, but nothing beats super fresh seafood prepared perfectly. The mussels and lightly salted cod were outstanding. The waitress was also lovely and took time to explain where... More

We loved this cute cosy restaurant. The owners were really charming. We tried the lovely creamy fish soup to warm up, and the “compulsory” blue mussels. We really liked them. The desserts looked really good too, but we were quite full, so unfortunately we did not have the space to have them. Next time! We do recommend this place.

Stopped here on our supply run through Stykkisholmur, and heard they had the best seafood. Indeed, the mussels are local and the Cod was the most delicious I had in Iceland (and I ate Cod just about every day). As a New Englander I am very picky about seafood, but this place with its remarkable location, view, friendly staff and... More

My husband and I had 2 dinners at this little restaurant on the harbor. Both times we selected seafood dishes which were delicious and beautifully presented! The service was fast and friendly. The parfait dessert made with skyr and rhubarb sauce was EXCELLENT!

Had diner here and enjoyed everything about it. The staff was very friendly, the food was great and it is in a beautiful location. Yes it is expensive, but it is like that everywhere in Iceland. We really enjoyed the fresh fish and also the goose ( starter). We will be back again, if ever back in this town.

Our first time at Sjavarpakkhusid and not the last. We had the Scallops for a starter and it was really good. Then we had Seafood soup and Salt cod and it was probably one of the best Salt cod I have ever tasted. The place is small and cosy and the staff was really nice. Looking forward in eating there... We both ordered the catch of day which was a fat fillet from the cod family. It was beautifully cooked and served with a selection of roast vegetables and a yummy sweet potato purée. We shared the traditional Icelandic dessert skyr & rhubarb which was excellent. The service was relaxed and the venue was charming.

After a long day of driving along the northern edge of the peninsula, we ended our day in Stykkisholmur and found this quaint restaurant next to the harbor. We got in a bit early for dinner and were told the kitchen wasn't to open for an hour but happy hour had just started so we ordered some drinks and watched... More

Beautiful presentation, delicious food, warm ambiance and friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant! I had the fish of the day which was Arctic char, and my boyfriend had a vegan plate (veggie burger and different veggies). Nice view as well.
