Food and ambience

Location and contact

With stunning views over Stykkishólmur harbour, the restaurant specialises in expertly made, locally sourced and seasonal food, accompanied by a good selection of beers and wines. We are extremely proud to work with local fishermen, farmers and breweries who provide us with the very best materials. Sustainability and locality are very important to us; we try our hardest to ensure that we are able to produce high quality and delicious food while keeping our environmental impact as low as possible. Breiðafjörður is a treasure trove for food lovers, why would we need to look anywhere else!

We ate in both of the main restaurants and this one blew the other out the park. Gorgeous setting, lovely decor and ambiance and very attentive service. The risotto is out of this world and the fish soup also recommended. If you are in town...More

Quite small restaurant so might be wise to book it, we did inline and it all worked out fine. Very nice meal indeed. The menu is small which I quite like, and really it is fish or fish. Halibut starter was good, cod main was...More

As all good food in Iceland this restaurant is not inexpensive. The food however was great. The service was very friendly. They had a new hire from mainland Europe who could not pronounce the name of the town Stykkishólmur either! We had the fish burger...More

That was one of the most delicious restraint meals I've ever had in a restraint. The trendy decor is lovely nice atmosphere with low lighting and great backround music. Feels more like an upscale Edinburgh boutique bar than a wee fishing village in rural iceland....More

This is a really charming restaurant, decorated in a nautical theme and overlooking the harbor. My husband had the fish burger which he enjoyed, though he found it a bit underseasoned, and I had the barley risotto with scallops, which I thought was excellent. I...More

Nice restaurant right on the harbor. Small and busy, but good service. Small like our table of 2 was 6" from tables of two on either side. But we had great conversations with our neighbors.
