The restaurant is in a small house with views of the harbor--cozy and small. Beautiful cocktails and large portions of delicious food: beet and feta salad, scallops ceviche, bay scallops with pesto, roast lamb, molten chocolate cake. A few fumbles in sorting out who got...what for our bills, but otherwise the small staff delivered good service and were clearly proud of their work. Make a reservation: they're quite small.More

We made reservations online to eat at this restaurant during our one night in Stykkishlomur. We chose the six course to share meal amongst four and it was fantastic. I would recommend choosing this restaurant.

What a very special experience, for our last nice dinner of an amazing vacation in Iceland! Unique flavor combinations, a treat for the taste buds, such a variety and presentation was through the roof- beautiful! We were with our adult children, and we ordered four...appetizers, four entrees, two sides, and two orders of bread. Several cocktails were enjoyed, and the total bill in USD was as in any nice restaurant in the US. We had plenty to eat, we thought portions were actually more generous than in other fine dining establishments! This was one of our highlight meals of the trip!More

Wonderful in all aspects. Lovely setting, excellent service and all 7 of the dishes we had were delicious. I liked the Cod cheeks the best

This was a great experience. Beautifully prepared and presented. The chef clearly knows how to put flavours together - it was a delight. I note comments about portion size from other reviews and can't agree; the portions were quite normal but there are plenty of...excellent side oders should you require more. The service was excellent. One criticism - just a bit more light. I needed to use my phone to read the menu. The atmosphere was lovely, but just a bit more light or a larger print menu would be good! Actually, we have been to a few restaurants where you access the menu on your phone using a QR code - that could be the answer.More

Beautifully prepared fish, nice portion size but expensive- sides are extra. Would recommend the char and the shellfish. One slightly jarring note: a delicious salad with feta but an alarmingly large topping of salty sunflower seeds. Just a few would have been better for the...salad. Ambient atmosphere- delightful server. Nice view over the harbor. one of your best dining choices in Stykkishólmur.More

The place is very small, nice atmosphere and harbor view . The courses are about half the size received in similar restaurants . Side dishes are being charged extra, very limited variety. Service - very professional. We will not return to this restaurant again..

The food was really good and the fish was fresh and delicious. The portions were really small, for the price we were charged i expected more on the plates. Me and my 8 year old kid had the Wolf Fish my wife the Artic Char....The fries served were too salty. The desserts were fine.More

The restaurant is probably the best I visited during my trip. We went twice and the six course tasting menu is really an experience. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the chef cooks all the courses in the menu in a very elaborate and creative...way. No comparison with other restaurant we tried. Book in advance as in summer is very difficult to get a table. We saw many people turned away as no place was available.More

Just steps from the ferry, we loved this restaurant. The seafood is fresh and delicious, the presentation is lovely, and the service is excellent. Make sure to save room for dessert, it's so good!

Rare combination of fresh food and creative cooking Sjávarpakkhúsið benefits from having the freshest seafood delivered from the port literally next to it. This already is a reason enough to dine. The chef, however, is both creative and artistic in its cooking - mixing complementing...tastes, creating layers of sophistication in your mouth, that melts or teases, that dances and delights, while presenting each dish artistically. A lethal combination that makes Sjávarpakkhúsið one of the best seafood restaurants anywhere.More

In 40 years travelling and eating overseas this is one of the biggest disappointments ever! Its not the quality of the food per se but the portions are so small you need to have eaten an hour before you go. For the prices charged you...would expect more! If you are in Stykkisholmur i would suggest you avoid if you want a nice dining experience - we had a much better meal at one of the other restaurants here the night before.More

The most amazing mussels in a newly r3furbished restaurant. Right by the harbour so everything is very fresh. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful seefood dinner after gettong from the Baldur ferry from Flatey. We shared a first course og scallops with green peas and capers. This course was to die for. Fresh from the see, interesting combo but wonderful even though a little to...salty for me. My wife had the mussels and loved it and I had the blue ling. Both courses where excellent, some of the best fish we have had here in Iceland. This place comes highly recommended but make sure to book in advanceMore

We had the pleasure of visitng this lovely restaurant in June 2022. We chose the 6 course Tasting Menu and we weren't dissapointed. The food tasted as good as it looked and was very well-made. The restaurant was very nice with a relaxed atmosphere and...the waitress was sweet and professional.More
