We picked this restaurant purely on the Tripadvisor recommendations. We walked past it a couple of times and then went in via the visitor centre (for those who make the same mistake, just head to the far right corner marketed toilets, and it's through there.) The restaurant was quiet and the service a little slow, but the girls were both... More

We were 14 people for lunch. Accepted the wait as it was busy. But the food was dreadful. I had the cod. It smelled of beeing old and tasted worse. And the icing was the price 4.300kr for 150gr of OLD cod is just miserable. Sauce of the house that came on the dish was ketchup and mayo. A complete... More

If you're looking for a simple meal this is the place to go. We stopped by on a Friday evening around 6P, a good time to go as there were still tables. We had soup, burgers and fries. All were fine. Price was reasonable for Iceland. Waitstaff was good.

Not knowing Vik, we came across the place and we weren't disappointed. The Viking beer is delicious and the pizza was fantastic. Plus they have a table set out of bread and cream of mushroom soup that you can help yourself to. Tipping is not a thing in Iceland so you'll notice a lot of places you have to order... More

The food was solid, but was expensive for what you get. It's self-serve on the soup and bread which I don't mind, but the cod was greasy - something I hadn't experienced even at fish and chip places in Iceland. The place is a bit difficult to find, but its popularity gave it a nice feel.

Ate here on our first evening due to the reviews on here. The waiter was sat behind the bar and expected us to getup and order our food. The smoked salmon starter was very tasty and was the highlight of the meal. We both had the lamb sandwich for the main course which was OK but the potato wedges that... More

We came for dinner based on the Trip Advisor ranking and it was pretty good. The choice for vegetarians is pretty limited, but in Iceland that's better than most places. We enjoyed our pizza and the ubiquitous feta cheese salad. The skyr cheesecake for desert was good. Note: the sign outside the cafe is very discrete! The name is on... More

Good food for a reasonable price. Service was good and they were very accommodating for large parties (we had 8 people and it was no problem)
