Cafeteria style. We were a little unsure. Fresh artic char was amazing. The portion so large, it fed two of us. Went back the next day for the lamb, it was sold out and had the char again!

Honestly, just find anywhere else in this town. Prices weren’t bad for Iceland but the food was incredibly sub-par, in my opinion. It was dry, bland cafeteria food. As someone coming from the UK, I also wasn’t expecting their toasted sandwiches to use burger cheese...slices - We literally call that plastic cheese, it’s not good. I wish I would’ve spent my money elsewhere, so I’d suggest you do. All of that said, the staff were very friendly and I heard them happily exchanging food that people were complaining had been given cold.More
This cafe is just feet from the ocean and so we ordered fish and chips. The chips were fine, but the fish was a large flaked and formed "fish Stick." Not worth the money. Did not expect frozen food at a beach town.
It wasn't my first time (I go there often). Relaxing place for drink the tea and other after the tour because this is meeting point.
Food from this place is tasteless, overpriced and the same "cakes" I saw many times in the cheapest bars in the US. It not Icelandic food. Literally my burger was the smallest I've ever seen. You better go to the restaurant in a gas station...that is next to this place than there! DO NOT RECOMMENDMore
This was our first visit at Ice Cave Bistro in Vík i Mýrdal during the trip along the coast and were quite impressed both by the food and service. We got the soup, arctic charr with side salad plus some rice and a burger with...fries. Everything was fresh and delicious! Staff made us feel very welcome and gave us tips on where to go next. Coffee was great, too! Highly recommend!More
Cool and friendly service. Fast and tasty. Nice place to rest during the trip. You can admire the beach and the ocean while you dine. I recommend
I have recently visited Ice Cave and ordered a soup and fish&chips - I can highly recommend it. Very nice staff, clean and spacious interior.
Came with my daughter, we were on a trip, and came for lunce. We ordered a cheeseburger, and we got a very bad looking burger, with one salad, sauce and cheese, and a few chips on plate. We did not got a good service, it...was a very expensive meal.More
Overpriced and not good food. As a family of four our bill was just under 12 thousand ISK and I've got to say that for that amount I demand some standard. We're not stopping by again. Raise your game or lower the price. A kids...menu would be very useful.More
Great bbq hamburger, very friendly staff, great view of reynisdrangar and the black beach I will definitely be back.
We stopped here on one of our tours and loved it! Great food, friendly staff and fast service. You can take your food and eat at the black sand beach too
Terrible food the fish was sold as Cod but is not Cod some cheap fish from Asia. I advice people not go their and eat . I am not proud that so bad resturant is in Iceland.
I got the salad whit chicken the chicken was drie and bad. And it costs 3000 kr . My friend got the burger and the hamburger buns were burnt and too big for the meat
Paninis were tasty and fairly large. They were average price for iceland and the service was quick too. Worth a visit!
