Slippurinn is a family run eatery by the harbour in a 100 year old building that once housed a machine-workshop that served the old shipyard. It's casual, friendly and excellent quality. Our philosophy is simple and honest, we cook our food from scratch using the best ingredients in season. We get most of our vegetables from farmers on the south coast and we go next door to the fish market to get the freshest fish possible. We grow our own herbs and salads and forage the island for wild herbs and

Dinner with pre booked menus. Food was ok, have had better. Vine far to expensive. Service could also improve.

Pricey - yes, but so is everything else on Iceland. Food was made out of fresh, local ingredients and was a modern twist on Nordic classics. Staff was skilled and personable.

I was a bit skeptical after reading Deserves a Michelin star review. I have to confess, indeed, it does. And after you try halibut soup, lamb with rhubarb, thyme, creamy celeriac & hazelnuts, and skyr with whey caramel, you will agree with me. We enjoyed...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Guillemont eggs were too pretty to eat, but we did anyway and they were great, as was the seaweed salad and cod croquettes. The pan fish and chicken dishes were excellent as well. Nice drink selection too.

A rare 5! We were happy about everything. The deco raw but friendly. The food was great. Price reasonable. The opening hours made the day for us. And an excellent service. Good job.
