About
Kaffi Lara - El Grillo Bar, is closed during the winter season, we really look forward to seeing you all in the spring! Opening date for spring 2020 will be announced later. Thank you all for an amazing and adventurous season 2019. Kaffi Lara - El Grillo Bar is located in the heart of Seyðisfjorður and is known for its local beer and BBQ plates. We are a family restaurant and bar, founded by Eyþor Þorisson and his son, Jon Þor in 2001. Many things have changed during the countless years of our beloved company, starting up as bar in 2001 to now providing both locals and travelers with our own brewed beer and various BBQ plates served with salad and baked potatoes. El Grillo is a really nice pub which offers local food and beer. Its name comes from a British oil tanker sunk in Seyðisfjörður after being attacked by Germans during the Second World War. The atmosphere both outside and inside the pub is warm and...More

We ate here two nights and had an afternoon snack on another day. The food was good, and much of it is cooked on a grill outside. Their sweets are also good.

Pub like menu. Lamb was yummy. English soul music playing softly in background which I appreciated. They sell hides/skins which is a bonus. You won't be disappointed.

Had great beer and burgers here. Friendly staff and good food. After two nights of three course meals we wanted somewhere speedier, more casual and cheaper! This place fitted the bill and we can recommend on this basis. Delightful!

The choice of restaurants In Iceland is limited and never cheap. Seydisfjordur has 3 restaurants at the time. On the evening before the ferry leaves they are al busy. The atmosfere was good, the food was fine.
