Busy bar and restaurant with a good choice on the menu. Quick and efficient service. Both the cod and the pork were delicious.

This is a small pub where you order at the bar. The food was delicious (we had ribs and a vegan burger) and the service was fast and friendly.

We walked in and waited patiently for someone to seat us. We were standing by the “ please wait to be seated” sign. After 10 minutes and multiple glances from the bartender and server my husband went up to the bar. The bartender acted like...my husband was bothering her. She told him he would have to stand at the end of the line. We left and drove 30 minutes to where we were staying. We thought Icelanders were friendly. Not so here.More

On a cold, rainy day we had a nice hot meal. Order at the counter, and after short wait the food was ready. We ordered sandwiches and beer.

Seydisfjordur was one of our ports of call on a cruise ship voyage. The town is a delight to walk through. We stopped in at El Grillo Bar for dessert. We ordered at the bar counter just inside the entrance area, received our order and...then sat down in the dining area. I had the chocolate cake (950 ISK) and my husband had a chocolate muffin. The chocolate cake was outstanding, truly one of the best I’ve ever had.More

Great Beer, great service, and friendly staff. Stopped here twice in one day, once for the beer and the second time for the burger and beer. It was all delicious, the staff are English speaking and very friendly, and they have free wifi.

We ate lunch here when visiting Seydisfjordur for the day. This restaurant is located on the main street, the one with the rainbow road leading up to the church. The food was delicious! I got the el grillo burger and it was delicious! The burger...was juicy and the cheese was so good! It came with a small baked potato that was dripping in salt and butter. Paired with a cider and free wifi truly made this meal this best!More

We popped in for lunch to get out of the cold and drizzle when visiting Seyðisfjörður. This was a cosy pub in a beautiful town. We all tried the foil wrapped cod with jacket potato, which was very comforting and warming- just what we needed....Would definitely return!More

After a morning’s hike in the area we needed some refreshment - the beer brewed on site (a lager) hit the spot perfectly. We both had burgers with baked potatoes which were delicious (great sourdough bun). It was a sunny day so we sat outside....Service was friendly and helpful.More

Lunch was on the agenda and El Grillo seemed like a good option. The menu is small, but has good options. I opted for a veggie burger and a baked potato. It did not disappoint. The veggie patty was flavorful and bun had a crunch...to it. The baked potato was stuff with plenty of butter. Sampled their in-house beer and it was pretty good. N*joy!More

A real pub where to relax with a selection of 20 Icelandic beers, some good dessert and free water; there is the possibility to eat, but I came here just to chill and it was a perfect choice.

Stopped by for lunch and a beer. The service was chill, very relaxing. The menu was very clear about how to proceed (order from the bar, they bring it to the table). Their menu had a “leave the driving to us” tone. Don’t worry about...sides, we have the right ones already picked out and they were right! We ordered chicken with salad items and the chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. We didn’t ask, but assume part of the goodness was likely due to local sourcing. There are a couple of choices in town, but I’d highly recommend if you’d like a beer and food as this was better than brewpub food.More
