Pizza was very good. Getting our bill was a challenge. Seafood pizza was really good - seafood did not overpower the pizza. Chili oil was superb!

Brilliant, friendly service and delicious buffet. Highly recommend the herring! Fire makes it lovely and cosy
During our lunchtime visit, the restaurant and bar by the harbor was frequented mainly by locals – always a good sign! The buffet offered salads, Icelandic meat soup, salmon, duck, pasta, pizza, french fries, coffee and more, everything in excellent quality – all you can...eat for ISK 2700. Great deal!More
I’m done with even trying to be polite about these places. See the photos. The food was abysmal - again. One vegan burger - a shop bought bun, some gherkins, mayo and a fillet of fish. A handful of oven chips - that was all....A marguerita pizza - bland tasteless like a frozen pizza. It was burned so all you could taste was the charred carbon of the burned base AwfulMore
We had terrible food and when we complaint the chef came , was very rude and argurd with us.he showed us huge disrespect. Wha to say this made me feel terrible and dont wish anybody this experiment
Perhaps because it was Sunday, we were not allowed to chose from a menu, only buffet. For a gluten free person this limited my selection options, nor did they have GF bread. Still, my selection tasted good, and I was able to repeat. No other...restaurant available in town.More
We had the lunch. There was no choice: only buffet style. Everything was tasty. Soup, salads, excellent fish with cream sauce, 2 other different oven dishes, 2 kind of pizzas. Perfect and at an excellent price.
We had an excellent lunch buffet at Torgid. It included pizzas, fish soup, mashed potatoes, lamb with vegetables, fish with potatoes, various salad vegetables- lettuce, tomatoes, pickled onion, pepper, beets, corn, sundried tomatoes, pickled herring, olives... Everything tasted good. Price: ISK 2.390 ($18.80 in US...dollars).More

Found the place on TripAdvisor hoping for good local food. So we walked in and the kid working looked at us like we crapped in his cereal. Now, I understand that Americans are not welcomed sometimes, however I try to be respectful in other countries...to help our poor reputation. Two tables seated and a wide open restaurant but the kid seats us at the soup bar lol. I’m like ok, it’s post pandemic and I can deal with that. Kid waiter comes around after sitting there for twenty minutes asking us what we want. We asked for two local beers and my wife wasn’t ready to order because we were figuring out the menu. So, we asked about the menu and he started acting condescending towards us. I’m sorry that I didn’t take my night class of reading Icelandic. Two more tables sit down and get served drinks. We finally give him our order and again, totally ruined his day. So we sat for another ten minutes still no drinks. At this point other tables are being served and we’re just there empty handed. We decided to get up and go somewhere else. Americans avoid here. They don’t like us and unfortunately this beautiful island is wasted on them. I don’t usually rate businesses, but I couldn’t hold back especially since the place is highly rated. If your server is a young kid with glasses and tight jeans turnaround and go to the pizza place.More
Great value wholesome meals. We ate here 2 nights running and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The menu is not particularly Icelandic but we were able to get chips that we had been missing after 2 weeks. Great friendly service
We ordered two pizza's a seafood and a Hawaiian, both were excellent and reasonably priced. The place was quite busy, but service was good.
On a wet, overcast Whit Sunday in Siglufjorour we were exceptionally fortunate to find Torgid to be one of the few open restaurants in town. Torgid is conveniently located right on the town square- for Trapped fans it is adjacent to the Radhus overlooking the...spot where Harbourmaster Sigurður Gudmundsson lands his plunge from the helicopter in Season 1. The restaurant is casual yet full-service along the lines of a brasserie, and very bright and pleasant. Our meals included the seafood du jour, cod cooked with asparagus, baby carrots, red onion and baby potatoes in a garlic bourbon sauce, and the signature Seafood Pizza topped with fresh cod and wild shrimp, both paired with an excellent house white wine. The seafood was fresh from the harbor and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The cod dish was prepared with care, the flavorful sauce neither starchy nor heavy. The Seafood Pizza gave primacy to the toppings without overwhelming with cheese and sauce. Portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Torgid is highly recommended for fine dining in Siglufjorour! Again for Trapped fans, restaurant staff have appeared as extras in Season 3 and with prompting will happily share their experiences and other inside info.More
They do a vegan beyond meat burger which you won’t find anywhere else in the North! They also do vegan pizzas. The service is the best we’ve received in Iceland. Such a warm welcome every time we return. Cant recommend this place enough!
Very cheap food and excelent service. We vere six who came in and they followed all covid rules. We had two kids under 12 years old who ate free.
