I came here with my boyfriend as we wanted to use the 2for1 offer by Nova that is on Mondays and Tuesdays. The price for the 7-dishes-menu without offer would be 8990kr, a bit pricey, and that is why i put 4 stars instead of...5. We ended up paying 4500 pp ofc so we were pretty satisfied. The food is very inventive, tasty, varied and it's really a lot, we were super full at the end. The déco of the place reminds of some spanish bodega and it's quite cozy. I was surprised because of the service, it was very good when usually in Iceland is very mediocre, if not bad at times. So i am very pleased with this place and I recommend.More

This was such an amazing experience. We ordered the Icelandic Feast and were treated to 8 courses (1 was a surprise complementary course) of traditional Icelandic food. We also ordered a few pitchers of sangria which was AMAZING! This restaurant is very good at pairing...flavors. Everything is so complementary to the star protein of the dish. The service was also top notch! I highly recommend a visit!More

Not worth the price Not worth the price. The food was ok but the whole concept was terrible. The waiters were running like rabbits all around and it all stressed up the atmosphere so it was impossible to enjoy the dinner. A big disappointment for...a place as expensive as this one. We paid 20.000 Isk for a dinner for two and for that amount of money you should be able to get a peace to enjoy. But no that was not the case. Perhaps the reason was Covid but perhaps not.More

The Vegan Piri Piri "ribs" is my favourite dish in the world. It seems so much like meat I had to really check the first time I ate it! Also their vegan pesto with the bread and the vegan cauliflower dish is great too. The...vibe, decor and staff are all lovely - best restaurant in Reykjavík!More

Some of the food was great (the lamb!), some of it was not more than alright. The music however was so loud that conversation with someone sitting across the table was difficult. When asked, the staff said it was because "there were so many people"...that the music had to be so loud, I'm not sure what that means. Maybe I missed some of what they said or they didn't understand me, because the music was so loud. Worth going for a decent night out, but don't bother going with someone you'd like to have a conversation with. For a place that tries to be and could be atmospheric, it's strange to have blaring music like in a night club.More

We've always been a fan of Tapas for the opportunity to try a variety of tastes. Tapas Barinn brings it! I must say that we're pretty adventurous when it comes to local cuisine so we did not shy away from the less 'traditional' items on...the menu from an American standard, while all, of course, being VERY traditional to Iceland. Which is why we went for it. All excellently prepared and full of flavor. Octopus, excellent, Foal a delightful surprise, Minke whale much better than expected. Be brave and go all in! It's worth it! Low quality food for high prices! Would not recommend to go there. There are better places to eat in Reykjavik for the same price. We ordered 3 tapas dishes and two drinks and received a bill over 100 euros.

They are pretty fast. Service was good. I’d say a hour for the meal. The Icelandic feast was 6/7 taps .

I would say so yes, we had our cold weather clothes on. You have to dress up for warmth in Iceland. We didnt feel out of place with the rest of the diners.
