Wow wow wow. We visited here as a couple and it was absolutely out of this world. The food was unbelievable, the atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were lovely. Would hugely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Reykjavik.
The food and service are very good. We had the Icelandic gourmet feast. So much to eat and so fresh and beautifully cooked. Our primary waitress was wonderful but her colleagues were equally good. Highly recommended but go with a good appetite.
Ordered ala carte since one of us is a pescatarian with celiac (gluten-free). We had an amazing meal. Lin cod, the tuna and the wild mushrooms were creative, nicely presented and amazing. Garlic prawns ,Arctic char and Serrano with figs were also incredible. Service was...attentive to our needs, cheerful, and very aware of preparation and ingredients. We will definitely go back!More
We had the 7 course and added Mushroom dish for two people. 9 Tapas altogether which was more than enough for two of us. ($100) in Iceland this is really really well priced as you can spend $50 for a beer and soup. We had...Lamb, Puffin, Whale, Ling, Arctic char, and dessert. Presentation , Food and service was perfect. Great atmosphere in a cost small Restaurant. If you go to Iceland check this place out. Offers great food at a reasonable price and it is locally sourced and inspired Icelandic food. Highly highly recommend .More
We had a delicious dinner including lamb and lobster tail. Great service too! And nice music. Amazing chocolate cake dessert.
We ordered the Icelandic Feast. We had an amazing meal featuring a variety of Icelandic foods that we loved tasting. The courses were beautifully presented. The service was exceptional.
Visited with a friend. Visiting from the UK and were curios to try the more "traditional" Icelandic foods (puffin and whale). The Icelandic Gourmet Feast was incredibly tasty, filling and exactly what we were looking for. The service was good. All around a really great...experience and would recommend.More
This tapas Bar was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel. Her favourite restaurant in Reykjavik. Oh wow! It was amazing! We had the 7 course Icelandic Feast tasting menu. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. Had puffin and whale amongst many other delicious courses....Felt bad about this after whale watching the next day but..... The passionfruit sangria was a great twist on a Spanish favourite. The waiters were so helpful and friendly and the restaurant had a great buzz. Would recommend highly. Icelandic food in a Spanish style.More
My wife and I were visiting Iceland and by chance found this place in a downpour as it was around the corner from our hotel, they were busy but managed to slot us in. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, vibrant and friendly. The staff...were exceptionally helpful and the service was great. The food was excellent, as good as any tapas we've had around the world and they were GLUTEN aware. Then there was the 'small' hitch! The bill was on a par with prices in the centre of the capital unfortunately we did find at a later date find that there had been an error on the visa transaction, an extra zero made for an initial shock, BUT, having emailed the restaurant they were superb in the approach to resolving the issue and the difference was returned in great speed. A fantastic all round experience especially from Maron whose customer service was top notch!!More
Absolutely incredible food. Had the chefs 7 tapas selection. So much food and superb the whole thing. Staff really friendly. Whole atmosphere is nice, thoroughly enjoyed the meal and for Iceland prices we thought it was excellent value. Would recommend.
First thing to say is that the service is excellent. I tried the Icelandic Gourmet Feast and here are my comments on each dish: The lamb tenderloin was overpowered by the liquorice. The puffin was pretty salty and again the sauce overpowered and potential taste....The char was very good as the hollandaise was not too sweet and went well with the fish. The lobster tails (three of them) had very little meat in them (not their fault!). The garlic butter was nothing special. The ling was superb and together with the grilled lamb were by far and away the 2 best dishes. Sandwiched between the two best dishes was the minke whale which was really chewy so I'm glad I still have my own teeth. Overall I was disappointed but I will probably go back and try something very different.More
Must stop, excellent food, tough pricey We ordered the Journey into the unknown, the Spanish set menu, and it was absolutely fantastic. A lot of food, excellent quality, but a bit expensive. Definitely worth the price
My friend and I visited here as he wanted to try some traditional Icelandic food. Whilst this place is Spanish themed, their tapas dishes include native options, and the smaller sizes mean that you can try a few. The food was excellent. I can personally...vouch for the veggie offerings available… especially the vegan ribs. Oh my days! The restaurant setting is lovely, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. If I was to offer any criticism it would only be that this place is pricy, even my Icelandic standards. Two tapas dishes (so smaller plates) set me back over £30. My friend had three (again the small tapas plates) and his bill was over £50. This was for the food alone and not taking into account drinks. If you’re looking for a treat though and you’re not on a budget, it’s a great shout.More
Amazing friendly service! Brilliant selection of traditional Icelandic foods! Very tasty wine and impeccable presentation with food! The girls who served us were so friendly especially to my little one! We felt comfy and warm and enjoyed our food! It was our last night and...didn’t disappoint!More
