A lot of different and interesting dishes here. The place its self was different and interesting too. Lamb in Liquorice was fantastic, try it.

We both had the Icelandic Gourmet Feast and it was incredibly tasty. The flavours in each course were very thoughtfully considered, the staff were very attentive and friendly and the amount of food was satisfying. As brits it does seem a little pricey at first (we paid approx £140 for a large beer, cocktail & the feast) but when you... More

Not the most amazing food but it is tasty. I would say go to if you have no other recommendations. Pretty pricy too but all Iceland food is pricy.

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday on our first night in Iceland. We both ordered the Traveler sampler menu, with a couple of substitutions. To note, we didn't realize if the Traveler is ordered, everyone in your party has to order it as well, but that was fine with us. Our favorite was the lobster in garlic,... More

Incredible restaurant and experience. Icelandic Gourmet menu was excellent value for money- we were absolutely stuffed! I did not expect the food to be so beautifully presented. It tasted delicious. Service was fantastic- friendly and efficient. Would thoroughly recommend this to any tourist wanting a sample of Icelandic food. At the end we were given a description of all the... More

After reading other reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to visit this restaurant and share the 7 Course Icelandic Gourmet Feast. It was a great way of trying out Icelandic delicacies by sharing it as a light dinner. Really you must try this, all the courses were cooked fresh and brought out when ready so the staff were clearing the... More

My wife and I went and ordered the 7 course Icelandic Feast, which we split. The course was 7,990 kr, so not cheap, but we were satisfied after splitting it, so in that case the price was pretty reasonable. It's a good way to sample several things that aren't available elsewhere. Every course was very good, with obviously a lot... More

This is not the place to go for a cheap meal but on the other hand the food was of high quality and was a birthday treat for my friend. The atmosphere is warm and cozy the only thing I would say is that the staff seemed to be severely under pressure the night we were there. We counted 14... More

Outstanding dinner. Recommend the Icelandic Gourmet Feast for a tasting of Icelandic delicacies. It is enough for 2 people to share. Everything on the menu looked wonderful.

The place builds on Spanish tradition of TAPAS. The location is in the center of town. The service is fine and the atmosphere is relaxed.

The menu at Tapasbarinn offers over 50 different meet, fish and vegetable dishes so you can take your time and experiment various flavour combinations. A must try is the Icelandic gourmet feast which is a great way to taste the best of Icelandic produce in one meal.
