About
TapasBarinn is an extremely lively restaurant where Spanish tapas tradition meets the freshest Icelandic ingredients. It is located in a cellar at Vesturgata 3 in Reykjavik's central. The menu at TapasBarinn offers over 50 different meat, fish and vegetable dishes so you can take your time and experiment various flavour combinations. A must try is the Icelandic gourmet feast which is a great way to taste the best of Icelandic produce in one meal. The restaurant has been open since the year 2000 and has become a local favourite. It has the only kitchen in Reykjavík that is open 23:30 on weekdays and 01:00 on weekends. The breezy atmosphere and the Spanish effects in the decorations make TapasBarinn

Some of the food was great (the lamb!), some of it was not more than alright. The music however was so loud that conversation with someone sitting across the table was difficult. When asked, the staff said it was because "there were so many people"...More

We've always been a fan of Tapas for the opportunity to try a variety of tastes. Tapas Barinn brings it! I must say that we're pretty adventurous when it comes to local cuisine so we did not shy away from the less 'traditional' items on...More

Low quality food for high prices! Would not recommend to go there. There are better places to eat in Reykjavik for the same price. We ordered 3 tapas dishes and two drinks and received a bill over 100 euros.

We had the icelandic gourmet feast as recommended by the waiter. It certainly didn't disappoint. The presentation and flavour of each dish was second to none. Service was excellent too. Can highly recommend this restaurant. Well done to the whole team.

They are pretty fast. Service was good. I’d say a hour for the meal. The Icelandic feast was 6/7 taps .

I would say so yes, we had our cold weather clothes on. You have to dress up for warmth in Iceland. We didnt feel out of place with the rest of the diners.
