Very small portions, too salty soups and the coffee nearly undrinkable. Staff untrained. I wasn’t even asked how I would like my streak. Expensive food and bad quality! Physical environment would need a revamp! We miss the standard of the late Úlfar the founder of...More

I had the good fortune to eat at this fine restaurant with friends and it was one of the finest fish meals I've eaten anywhere in the world. A truly excellent dining experience with pleasant and good humoured people looking after us.

My fiance and I wanted to try something new in the Icelandic dishes of roasted whale and smoked puffin. Upon arriving at the restaurant, there were many locals inside so we did feel a bit out of place, but it was the look the waiter...More

The restaurant offers mainly quite heavy, traditional fish dishes with some international twist like soy or wasabi added to sauce or mash. We tried 3 dishes and all of them were quite good but nothing superb.

Small restaurant with very very good fish dishes. We had the wale and puffin as a starter (both very good), plokkfiskur (mashed fish) and steak. Everything was really good. It’s a small restaurant with tables very close to each other, so no real privacy.

We chose 3 Frakkar on the recommendation of a brewery owner and were not disappointed. Luckily, were seated without reservations as late diners. We ordered the catfish and lamb, both in a pepper sauce. Both entrees were delicious. The lamb is quite different from the...More
