The Petersen Suite is a rooftop lounge and a bar on the top floor of the historic cinema Gamla Bíó. We serve food during the summer but during the winter we have a variety of drinks and some bar snacks.

Nice place to stay in the sun and enjoy the view over the city. It's quite difficult to find a spot during the summer as it's a very popular place.

We had lunch here one day, you get a great view of the city, and especially if it is sunny, you can sit out their and get some sun, they have tables to eat at and couches to lounge on. We would go again.

My friends and I went to Petersen and my friend had a negroni only ending up to be a disappointment. One of the staff offered us one wine glass instead and one for free yet charged us for them both, although it should just have been refunded. Then she charged us double by mistake and gave us the cheepest drink to pay up for it and yet we still lost money on it. Total disappointment! And to top it all off she (the bartender) was rude to us and did not even give us her slightest attention.
And I know for fact other places would not treat their costumers this way.

So I went with my couple and I ordered two beers and the Carlsberg keg wasn't working, so they poured in our glasses the rest of the beers that they had tried to pour before and nobody got. After this, I told the person in charge (the one that filled our glasses with the rest of the remaining mistake beers that they had) that I had paid for two proper beers, not for the remainings. Then, his answer was like something shoking to me: 'That is not my problem, you are getting your beer anyway, so there you go. If you have any complaint, call the Carlsberg's company to ask them why the tap isn't working.' They could have offered me another beer or another drink, but they prefered to give me a drink of some mixed beers they had available there from the remainings. Definetely, I will never come back to this place. Absolutely disrespectful.

Thrown out for being gay. Just at tr bar trying to order a drink. Stood there really calm but i was thrown out. Was really calm. But i wad refused service because i had glued on diamonds on my face.

We have been having wonderful weather in Reykjavik, I could highly recommend Petersen as the best place to go on a days like that. Have visited this rooftop bar with my friends and have ordered some Aperol Spritz, impossible without it when sun is shinning 24 hours per day! Few days after I have noticed that there was an over charge of the drinks (only 2.000 ISK, not a big deal), still decided to send them an e-mail and see if there is any chance to correct it. Without any expectations for a such an unimportant amount I have received friendliest e-mail and transfer of 2.000 ISK back, even though this was just a small case, the customer service I have experienced will make me come back again and again. Thank you!

We enjoyed a wonderful New Year's Eve party here with a magnificent meal starting off with cocktails and then followed by a sit down 3 course dinner including entertainment, wine (several glasses) and an interlude after the main course when we went by bus to see fireworks and a local bonfire. Then back for the work-up to the New Year with awonderful picture of fireworks all over Reykjavik from the Gamla Bio rooftop observatory where we also enjoyed glasses of champagne to welcome 2019. certainly would do that again - great evening. We walked back to our hotel with the loud noises and flattering light of fireworks which seemed to gon for ever - certainly pas when we went to sleep.

The combination between the view to the magical cocktails mulberry are making is just phenomenal!

On visiting this stunning northern country i was even more stunned to find my favourite bar in the world - because that is what they are, a worldwide popUp bar - right in the middle of Reykjavik, sharing space with the hottest bar in town. Petersen svitan i Gamla Bio and my number 1 favourite "Mulberry Project" have teamed up for a short while. the combination is fantastic. i wish them both the very best and hope they work together in the future. Maybe this time next year!!

Great city views and amazing cocktails - what else could you need in life! Very knowledgeable bar staff making yummy drinks. I would recommend making the effort to pop on by to this pop-up gem!
