We ate at the laugavegur site of this chain which was across from out apartment. I'm kind of a NY pizza snob, but I was very impressed. Showed up at 6pm and got a table right away. Waitstaff were efficient and nice. The restaurant is bright and airy with high ceilings and a nice vibe. The pizza was very good,... More

Very much a local hangout. They stick to pizza, calzones and simple salads. Tropical pizza is delicious! Came back twice in one week. Crust is very fresh and thin. Yum!!

Eldsmidjan is a bit of a hybdrid between fastfood and pizzeria. Location is in the shopping district. Good choice of pizzas, also vegetarian and one vegan. They can also prepare you special on request. Good balance between crustiness and shewiness, actually the best I ever had. Several Icelandic beers to choose from. The place is quite noicy. Large windows allow... More

what can I say except it was delicious. Lots of combinations to pick from. This is the first restaurant we ate in in Iceland, and it was a taste of all the amazing food we would enjoy on our trip.....

Very casual - free wifi. You grab your own water and refill your own drink. The thing I loved about the place was that their toppings were unique. One pizza had lamb and corn, others - cream cheese.

This place had been recommended to us so we said we would give it a try. After waiting over an hour for our pizzas I enquired how long more they would be I was told 10 minutes 25mins later when we decided to leave they were only preparing our pizzas. We were doing a tour but thought 2 hours was... More

Dropped in for a quick meal, and I wish I didn't. The pizza was terrible and terribly expensive not only for what it was, but for pizza. Beer was the local brew, which is pretty good, so they couldn't ruin that. Service was ok. Would find somewhere else to go eat...

We stopped in at happy hour 2-4 and had flat bread, salad and some drinks. The staff was nice and helpful. It was warm, free wifi and clean WC. It was just what we needed to tide us over until dinner. We did return the next day to enjoy more of the wood fired pizza and bread.

The waiter did not acknowledge us as we entered, she simply ignored us when we were speaking to her, as we wanted to dine in. There were no waiters to be found, we had to grab her attention from other floor. Pizza took more than 40 mins to arrive, it was very good but due to the service i don't... More

My friend and I dined here on our first night in Reykjavik as we fancied something simple and fulfilling for dinner and Eldsmiojan didn't disappoint! Whilst the staff were a little slow-paced, they were pleasant and attentive enough for the size and layout of the restaurant (we ate upstairs). Our freshly baked pizzas were served within 15 minutes of ordering... More
