Provided your taste is catholic then the tasting menu is likely to be good ( see Sharrow Bay Ullswater, Etnik Tirana et al). The seven course menu was exceptional and the accompanying wines and one light beer excellent. Check out the menu yourself but the langoustine( see my inexpert photo below) and accompanying Pouilly Fuisse brilliant just to pick out... More

Went twice during my trip. They only serve 4 or 7 course tasting menus, or a la carte with the same dishes. For large groups (~25-30), they'll serve a slightly altered menu. - Three-wall panorama of city - Top notch service - Delicious and well-presented courses - High price to match

I had the opportunity to visit Iceland recently and stayed at the Radisson Blu Saga hotel where Grillid is located. If you aren't a foodie or gastro-connoisseur then stop reading and don't bother going here. This is an experience for those whose palates indulge in mesmerising tastes and journeys beyond description. The restaurant is small and steeped in history. As... More

My husband and I chose Grillið as a venue for our wedding anniversary dinner and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We chose the 7 course set menu with paired wine and the entire meal and the matching wine (and beer with one course) was excellent. The waiters were very knowledgeable and the sommelier was literally like an encyclopedia... More

There are two legitimate criticisms that can be offered: the seasonal menu is not broad, and it is not cheap. What it is, is uniformly excellent. If you're willing to put yourself in the hands of a superb chef (and pay for the privilege!), this is not to be missed.

I was a part of a large group having a 7 courses menu at this absolutely top class restaurant. We had sea trout, lamb tartare, potatoes with truffles, cod with asparagus (from Holland), beef tenderloin, sea bucktorn with buttermilk and carrots and ending with a liquorice dessert. Both tast and the artistic presentation were out of category. The wine menu... More

We (me and my girlfriend) vent for the 7 course dinner paired with wine. The courses where spring themed since it's a seasonal restaurant. The waiters where really professional and polite, and serviced us with interest and kindness. The restaurant it self is located on top of the hotel with an amazing view and we could see a spectacular view... More

What a charming place! The service friendly and committed beyond belief, the ambience completely 80's chic, like stepping into a time bubble, and the food! The Food! We had the tasting menu and loved every single course. No wonder all the head chefs are voted the best in Iceland, and ranked highly in The Boccuse d'Or. A culinary treasure trove,... More
