Our Hilton Hotel restaurant is Michelin Rated and doesn't even lower itself to post prices. Fresco is a mere (long) block away (turn right out the main entrance and walk straight ahead to the next building) and prepares salads (and wraps) in front of you and offers healthy alternatives to the meals often consumed on vacations. Food, in general, and meals, in specific, in Iceland are astronomical. A $15 salad is a bargain. Don't count on table service. You're on your own after you carry your selection to your chosen table. But that's a small price to pay for a quality salad (sorry for the pun)! Fresco closes at 21:00 (9:00pm) - so include that in your plans.

I really enjoyed my chicken salad. Well dressed and delicious. 15usd for my salad but it was lunch and i didn’t even eat dinner cause i was still full.

Two of us shared a salad here. Staff accommodated giving us two bowls. Plenty of fresh and wholesome food. Washed down with tap water. This meant £12 for a meal for two which was tasty and welcome in an expensive area.

Reasonably priced for Iceland. Very convenient for people staying at the Hilton Nordic.
I did the self choice option where I picked what I wanted. The staff patiently answered my many questions. Great variety of ingredients and great variety of salad dressings. I got the chicken and then added a hard boiled egg for extra protein. I will probably be back later this week. Good choice when coming back from a day trip as you can take it back to hotel or sit in to eat.

LOVE this place. Such a great idea - I wish they did this local to where I live. Any kind of salad you can think of, any ingredients and any combination, any dressing - it's all there for you to have. They have an extensive menu of set salads, which you can alter, add to or tweak to make into your ideal salad, or you can simply create your own. All fresh and speedily prepared right in front of your eyes - utterly delicious! Eat in or take away options. Must visit!!

Good & tasty salads, you can decide what you want to add/remove in each of them. Sometime you need wait for staff and they pretend to be deaf, but most of time it's ok.
Last time I took tex mex and it's was ok.

Wound up having dinner here twice after arriving back at our hotel late after tours. A big variety of different salads, which you can also have as wraps. I had the BLT pasta salad one night, and the chicken caesar wrap another. They also offered a build-your-own salad if you prefer.

Nothing special. Another over priced salad bar. They got rid of the kale. I didn't add any meat and it cost 1630kr.

Chill atmosphere, very casual. Huge variety of salads, with or without meat. I recommend the Fresco Oriental with Soy-Ginger dressing.

Walked to this restaurant from the Hilton where we were staying. Good salads and relatively cheap (for Iceland). I had the avocado bowl and it was really good. No kids menu but they offer wraps if your kid doesn't eat salads.

Salads are fresh, big and tasty and at around $18USD they are fairly cheap. We have the powerhouse, oriental, Greek, shrimp and avocado bowl. All were great.
No kids menu. If you kids don’t eat salad they could make a wrap, or there is a sandwich place next door.

With most meals in Iceland costing over $20 it was nice to find a place with food that is under that price. I had the Palm Beach, a salad with chicken, romaine, sweet potatoes, pickled onion, cheddar cheese, apples and cranberries with honey mustard dressing. For the most part, it was an excellent salad and the dressing choice was a perfect match. The only thing I didn't like was the chicken. It was over seasoned and over processed. I understand that there is probably no way to cook the chicken in a salad kitchen so they buy it already cooked. But the taste is too salty and too much other seasoning. If they could just get plain chicken it would be much better.

Many places like this are opening all around the country and I love this option. Been to Fresco one time and had the Mexican Street Bowl and I loved it. It was packed with protein, healthy fats and complex carbs. I'm going there again.
