We had the steak and fish of the day. Both dishes were very good. What we actually enjoyed even better were the starters - octupus and Iclandic landscape. The portions are extremely small for the price so (not true for main courses - here they...are big).More

Great food and drinks. We actually went there twice during our visit, since we enjoyed it that much. Price level OK for the quality. Atmosphere busy (can be a bit too cosy/full at peak hours). The only downside is that the service is super efficient...and that you are through your 3 course meal in under 45min. That also comes with the staff seeming to do more pushing customers through than true hospitality.More

We had a good evening at Apotek. The whole family decided for the 7 course tasting menu ...and my wife and I also tried the wine parring (no 2). It was all very good and delicious ...although the lamb tartar doesn’t make my top 100...list. The Apotek is not a Copenhagen level gourmet restaurant ....but the pricing is also not and the atmosphere is energetic and nice. Do be aware that the noise level is too the high side. Not problematic, though ...unless you are wearing hearing aids.More

Family of three. Good service and child friendly. Fair priced for Iceland. Food at top quality. Looks much better inside that from the outside. Guest of all age.

Had a long lunch/dinner here. Good servents and the food was briliant both for the mouth and the eyes. Just perfect!

Wanted an evening rounding up a business trip to Iceland and was not dissapointed. Ticked of some of the most important elements of a good restaurant. Good food, good atmophere and good location. Tried the 7 course tasting menu and was served some exquisite dishes....I have never tried a beef tenderloin as tender as the one Apotek serves. Will most certainly visit the restaurant next time I am in Reykjavík.More

Local here. Apotek is one of my favorite restaurant in Reykjavík. What I love about this place is how they manage to be excellent in so many different situations. Their lunch offers are delicious, quickly served and affordable. But come past 7pm and enjoy one...of the best dinner in town. The room is beautiful, the service excellent, and their 7 courses tasting menu never disappoints. They also have a lounge room where you can enjoy some drinks (their cocktails are amongst the best you can have in Iceland) and a dessert (try their "cherry delight"!). The only reproach I would do to this superb restaurant is that it's a fairly trendy place that can get loud in the weekends. Which fortunately doesn't taint the exquisite compositions of the chef ;)More

We were staying in the hotel above so made a booking here for our penultimate night in Reykjavik. The food is absolutely incredible and the flavours very unique. The staff were great and we still talk about how amazing our visit here was. Icelandic food...is not cheap however we found the price of our meal to be similar to other establishments which given the quality on offer makes this incredible value. There is a full bar and cocktail service with a comprehensive wine list.More

Wow! we were fortunate enough to be staying two doors away and went here one afternoon for cocktails. It also happened to be their happy hour and after tasting the first cocktails, we were hooked and stayed here for one too many. The cocktails are...like a piece of art. They have twists on the classics and some unusual ones too. definitely go here for that well deserved afternoon pick me up. Prices reasonable too.More

We are from NY and we are used to prices here - so to me it was average priced. We had drinks and food and it was about $140/couple. So $70 each. We shared 3 of the small plates.and we got dessert.
