One of the best restaurants in Reykjavik, and one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. Such unique dishes with amazing seasonal flavours; I highly recommend the matching drinks, as they have tailored them perfectly to enhance the dishes. The service is...spectacular, and the atmosphere is cozy yet elegant and sophisticated. The perfect restaurant for a special night in Reykjavik.More

Super food, respect for local food and beverage , exceptional service and by the end of our meal , the bartender understood the real meaning of making a dry Martini. Top scores

The good was delicious, drink pairings were unique and the waitstaff was superb. I don’t eat seafood but I tried everything on the tasting menu. Delicious. My favorite course was dessert. Highly recommend…a must stop in Reykjavik.

The restaurant is located a little bit of a distance from the city centre but as Reykjavik is quite small is a relatively short walk. The entrance is facing way from the direction most would be walking from. The interior is a modern style but...the decor has a retro slant. The plates are a random selection of nostalgia, the type of designs that your grandmother would have had! It is a set tasting menu which is on a large blackboard on the wall. You really don’t need it as you get what you get! The only choice is for the “main course “ between lamb or salt cod. This is good as many people are not fans of lamb as is the case with my other half. This course is quite substantial for a six course tasting menu. We also went with the wine pairings. Overall the meal was very good, well prepared, well presented and plenty of flavour. Though there was no real wow factor to any of the dishes. The food was €85 each and the wine pairing was €58 which was not expensive for a Michelin restaurant and definitely not Reykjavik expensive. RecommendedMore

The tasting menu (which is the only option) is really excellent, full of interesting and creative flavours, all beautifully presented. You don’t get to see the menu but at the outset they ask if you want lamb or salted cod for the main course. I...chose lamb, so was quite surprised that one of the earlier courses was a large lamb croquette which felt like a planning error. Perhaps, since Iceland is a fishing nation another fish course (not cod) would have been a better menu plan. The two final pudding courses were a particularly well conceived and refreshing end to dinner. The wine by the glass choices on the list are a bit uninspiring. Service was generally good although it was strange that as there were waiters of several different nationalities, the description of dishes to my neighbour was quite noticeably different than mine although they were both given in English.More

We went here for our final night in Iceland; after driving around the entire country for two weeks, this was our favorite meal! I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, but I am surprised by the negative reviews. Everything was absolutely delicious, the portions were...definitely plenty, and by Reykjavik standards the price was very fair (~$83 USD pp). After spending time throughout the country, we really enjoyed seeing the traditional foods we’d had “elevated.” Just great, skillful, imaginative cooking. Our waiters were wonderful and knowledgeable as well. We got the food course but not the added drinks course - just ordered a bottle of wine instead. Highly recommend!! We’ll be back for sure.More

High-end restaurant that prides itself in Icelandic cuisine and seems to be popular with Reykjavik residents. My wife and I had the 6 course taster menu, with breads canapes, starter, fish, main course mouse bouche and desert plus a local beer each for a total...of £176. We declined the wine flight and judging by the couple on the table next to us this was the right decision. Food was skilfully prepared and presented by attentive staff, but my principal moan was the portion size which reflected modern food rationing, perhaps it was just the large white plates. Attentive staff and a lovely ambience - restaurant featured on Rick Stein Long Weekend in Reykjavik.More

I had the 6-course vegan set menu. The portions were so small that even a 12 years old would not be full. The barley was still undercooked the second time when it was brought to me after complaining that it was far too hard to...chew it. The 2 tiny thin layer of aubergine on top of the barley was more a decoration than actually having some vegetables. The main course didn’t consist of vegetables apart from some pickled onions. The dishes were nicely presented but the portions were nothing more than a joke. The service was super but the food didn’t satisfy a hungry vegan who had to go home to have a proper meal afterwords. The cook had no idea what veganism is about.More

Lovely little restaurant. Set 6 course meal with a meat/fish main course choice. Really very good. We also did the flight of drinks (not all wine…..) which was great. Staff very helpful and describe each course and drink (in perfect English for us!)
