Location and contact

Chef Johann Helgi Johannsson and his wife Ragnheidur Helen Edvardsdottir own and manage Resto. Johann has built up a great reputation for quality cooking in other restaurants in Reykjavik so they decided to follow their dreams and open their own restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and there is much effort put into the food.

Our best meal in Reykjavík! Small place, tucked away. If you are dining here, you likely arrived intentionally and you’ll be glad you did. Family-owned, quality and care in the preparation of the food is immediately apparent. We opted for the five-course set menu and...More

This was the first time that we have ever eaten here, and boy what a treat. The food was outstanding, and the service was great. The restaurant was very relaxed, but with a great atmosphere. Its is off the main roads, and to be honest...More
