Chef Johann Helgi Johannsson and his wife Ragnheidur Helen Edvardsdottir own and manage Resto. Johann has built up a great reputation for quality cooking in other restaurants in Reykjavik so they decided to follow their dreams and open their own restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and there is much effort put into the food.

We had a lovely meal here, my husband got to complete his taste tour by having the shark as a starter.

Just 200 metres from our Centrehotel Midgardur is this very good restaurant. We ate here on our second night. The food was great and the service excellent (such long legs!). It is equal with Rok and only beaten by 3 Frakkar.
A little off the beaten track, we found this smart outfit on TA and it didn't disappoint. Dimly lit, single source of light over each table makes it very intimate and cosy.
The food was very tasty. Portions are well sized and service was quick....More
We were staying in the hotel opposite and based on the trip advisor reviews popped in on the off chance. The place was small and looked closed from the outside, however didn’t dissapoint. The staff spoke fluent English and were very accommodating. The menu was...More

The restaurant itself is a...More
