I had a simple dinner here of fish and potatoes and boy, it was expensive for what it was. Iceland is expensive in general, but at this restaurant you're probably paying more for the experience. It's really uniquely decorated and there aren't too many places...More

This is little being back in a late 19th century private home. The decor and surrounding are really quant. There is also a bar which we did not use, but it looked lovely to have either a pre or post dinner drink. The service was...More

I wish that I had trusted my instincts when I saw this place and not been swayed by recommendations. The interior of the restaurant is weird in a borderline gruesome way. Perhaps amusing if you are in the right mood; if you are not it...More

I have recommended this place myself (as a local gourmet lover :)) to my friends, family and travellers and I have ONLY received happy, smily and satisfied people back. I would personally go for the "cod chins" - they are phenomenal and my favorite by...More

This was a private house converted into a multiroom restaurant where most of the rooms have only one or two tables, so chances are you will have a room to yourselves. The restaurant is on the upper floor (true in many business establishments in R.,...More

While looking to try some Icelandic fish between concerts at the Airwaves Festival we saw this restaurant on a map and found it upstairs from where we thought it was. The menu looked a cut above and the prices weren't so bad for what looked...More

The best location of a restaurant. It is like you are invited in to a apartment with a local family from 1950. A special place I will remember The food was fine. The the special menu.

The restaurant is a single first floor establishment split into several rooms, each with the feel and decor of a Victorian house. Although you can go for the usual menu, it is worth trying the set menu for some excellent and original dishes. The bar,...More

The restaurant lies just opposite the Parliament building in Reykjavik. It's housed in two houses that have been knocked through to make the restaurant. It's a truly quirky and fun place to have a meal - very authentic as it feels like you're in someone's...More

We have just moved our restaurant after 27 years. We are now located inside the City Hall Building which is located in the lake right downtown in Reykajvik. We opened our restaurant at our old location ,which is only 1 min away from the City Hall, in 1986 and we are a family owned restaurant, with the same owners since 1986.
