Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. A little pricey, but without tax and tip being added, worth the splurge. Amazing vibe and the food was spectacular. Had the scallops, fish of the day, caught fresh daily and a gin drink. Outstanding!

The greeter was arrogant and not friendly. The place is a little posh and expensive, but cozy.. The food was not worth it for the price.

We were a party of eight but we’re placed on two tables initially. The restaurant manager quickly arranged a change and provided us with a free glass of Prosecco while we waited. Food was excellent. Staff were delightful and cheerful. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a great find! Best food we had in Reykjavik. Every single dish was excellent! The deserts were fantastic, too! A big hats off to the chef!

Service is excellent. Good is good but not good enough to justify the cost. Great for people with special dietary requirements like gluten or dairy.

On a friend's recommendation we chose this restaurant for our first dinner in Iceland. It was also recommended by the owner of the Airbnb in Reykjavik where we later stayed. My wife's cocktail of choice was the Donkey – Vodka, lime, ginger, grapefruit, mint, spicy...ginger lemonade. I am having a Burning Man – lemon, sugar, Light smoke, lots of fruit and green pepper. We shared an appetizer of TIGER PRAWNS TEMPURA with Lime aioli, chili jam. It was good and perfect to whet our appetites. My main course was Fish of the day (perch) – well cooked with good accompanying vegetables. My wife had GRILLED FILLET OF LAMB; Deep fried new potatoes, roasted carrot and white chocolate purée, fondant carrots, pickled shallots. That was good too! Our dessert was recommended by our wait person – WHITE CHOCOLATE AND SKYR, White chocolate Skyr mousse, licorice ice cream, blueberries, brown sugar crumble – Skyr is the Icelandic yogurt – it just hit the right sweet spot! A good first meal.More

Truly delicious food! Lots of great flavours … really enjoyed sitting in front of kitchen and seeing it all unfold. Only negative the head waitress treated us like second class citizens as we were using precooked voucher’s!

We went here on our first day and they were kind enough to seat us without a booking on a busy Saturday. The lamb was incredible and the fish dish we got was also really good. Fresh and sophisticated food with great presentation and flavour....We had one of the craft beers and a cocktail and they were also delicious. Staff were lovely too.More

Went twice for lunch (dinner booking cancelled because of rain!). Very good menu and excellent food. Very good wine list. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite expensive even by Iceland standards but good value. Nice ambience - mainly locals rather than tourists (despite its location).

We decided on a whim to go out for dinner wednesday night. Kol, is one of our favorite restaurants and had a 2 for 1 deal, mon-wed so we went there. The service was outstanding and the food to die for. My wife had the...langoustine soup for starter and I had the rosemarin cured beef. We both had the miso coal grilled salmon with apples and black garlic for our main course. The desert was a brownie with home made icecream and grilled pineapple. Stupendous meal and what a deal This place always delivers. Fabulous food, good wine and great ambiance. Highly recommendedMore

This is definitely more high end and pricey but completely worth it. My sister and I both got different small meal packages, her Italian and me the Icelandic. They both came with two small appetizers which were excellent, and hers came with two small meal,...mine one small meal. They were so good. Lastly, they both came with a dessert, the Icelandic dessert which was a chocolate icecream and mousse was so freaking good. The drinks were equally delicious and high end.More

Kol Restaurant - Skólavörðustígur 40, 101 Reykjavík The concierge at Tower Suites highly recommended this restaurant in Center City to us, and she didn’t steer us wrong! It as a delightful experience, in a bustling, modern but comfortable setting. We were seated in the downstairs...dining room, contiguous to the open kitchen, and were able to watch the fast-moving staff generating a lot of dishes in short order. We started the meal with a Shared Hummus appetizer, with fresh handmade flatbread that was soft and fresh. We are humus fans, and we pronounced this one as delightful. For entrees, we each had grilled lamb with potatoes, carrots & pickled onion, which was a recommendation of our waiter. Icelanders are justifiably proud of the delicious lamb produced on the island. We were the recipients of quick and professional service throughout the dining experience, and we heartily recommend this restaurant.More
