Sandwich menu. Primarily. Central location so busy place. My sandwich was overwhelmed with sauce. Had to scrape it off. Ask for sauce on side. .

There was something for everyone-prosecco, waffles, ham and cheese sandwiches, juice, coffee, croissants, local donuts. Service was good, even when it was crowded. We went each day when we wanted a snack or lunch. We will return on our next trip!

I went here with my friends, and it was so nice, the waiters were great and cute ( the bald one and the tattoo one) and we got coffee and it was so slay.

We dropped in for a light lunch and coffee. Service and Food were excellent. There is a nice atmosphere in the cafe. There was a mixup with our order, so the food was delayed. Staff were very gracious and offered us a free coffee of...our choice because we had to wait a bit. We really appreciated that! That part of Reykjavik can be quite busy. This little cafe offers a quick and easy spot for a light lunch. Coffee was excellent, too. Good to know! Thank you very much for your great food and service.More

Went here for hot chocolates after a day out at the golden circle and glacier snowmobile ride. Nice cosy atmosphere, service good and staff very welcoming. Hot chocolates went down a storm - just what we needed!

Found this place by chance when in Reykjavik. Excellent atmosphere, small and cosy. Excellent toasted sandwiches, can recommend Beef and Cheese. Gorgeous chocolate cake and waffles. Also enjoyed a couple of beers and wife had a nice cider. Can't go wrong.

Nice, cozy place on Laugavegur to have a cup of coffee or the excellent hot Swiss chocolate. Service was friendly, place is clean.

This is such a cosy cafe but the coffee they serve is barely drinkable, you are better off going ANYWHERE else if you are looking for a nice cup of coffee.

During our 1 week stay in Iceland (5 days in Reykjavik) we frequented many many coffee shops and this one won the award for best coffee. Not an easy award to win but, it took the crown! Very cosy and outdoor shelter to also choose...from! We also noticed that many coffees are served in small mugs but this one gave you a good sized mug! Oh, hot chocolate was also delicious!More

Well located coffee house on Laugavegur. We visited later in the evening and found it was very tight and seating limited. Upstairs was hot and we had to move outside to the patio aera. We were asked to move by staff after setting down all...our food and drinks because they had to limit the size of the patio after a certain time. We had nowhere else to sit. Tables were wobbly, seating outdoor was tight. Waited for a small table to become available and it was not clean. The selection of cakes was limited and staff looked young and uninterested in customer service. Prices were relatively expensive to other cafes. No staff cared. We returned to Babalu instead a couple of other times, where it was quieter and cleaner.More

When you say hello and the barman turns his back to you and then serves you the tiniest piece of rhubarb crumble and uncooked waffles, you won’t be coming back. Coffee is good though, hence two stars rather than one

We loved this cute cafe! Incredible cup of coffee, tasty pastries (try the pecan one), yummy pulled pork sandwich, nice bathroom and a great patio. Located in a really cute part of town, too. I only wish they opened earlier in the day! Best cup...of coffee we had in our ten days in Iceland.More

This bar-coffee place has a good atmosphere. The drinks and the food are both very tasty and well taken care off. The vegan sandwich is very nice btw! The staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend stopping here.

It is a charming place in the main Street in Reykjavik. Welcoming atmosphere. I came in for a quick espresso. Very friendly and kind staff and a great espresso. The place itself is very charming and cozy .
