What can I say, we had a fabulous lunch here on our stay in Rejkyavik. Lovely attentive staff and the food is amazing.. the Plokkfiskur is a must try.. even my veggie partner extolled her veggie platter as the best...

We went to Fish and More on our way to a Church Concert up the hill. It is close to the main shopping area but it is unique. Food is authentic Icelandic featuring fish. My wife had the ling, a local white fish that tasted...More

In a city known for its high prices, this is a great little find to stop for a snack, a drink or something a bit bigger - and it won’t cost you the earth. There’s a fish of the day, but my husband had the...More

We stopped by on a rainy, overcast day looking for a hearty Icelandic fish soup. The soup was excellent (although note it is slightly spicy). The café is small, staff are friendly and there is more on the menu than just soup - fish of...More

We read about the Fish Stew and we go for it... And it really worth it! It's simply delicious! The staff is very nice and efficient. The seafood soup is very good too.

Our first trip into Reykjavik on a very windy cold day and we needed lunch - glad to say we chose here. Atmospheric, good service and delicious food.

Don't be put off by the limited menu. The food is delicious. We had the traditional fish stew which is more like a fish in a sauce with lots of accompaniments. It was filling, tasty and obviously made with fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly...More

We were tempted in by the welcoming look and friendly staff. We were not disappointed! Both the catch of the day and the traditional fish stew were mouthwateringly good, and priced below average for the area. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

The staff is very friendly and the food is good. You can eat typical Icelandic dishes and the prices are fair considering you are in Iceland. I recommend it!

We like to think of Salka Valka as an extension of our own home-kitchen and living room. Experience a uniquely charming, soulful and welcoming atmosphere over hot & cold food, sandwiches & snacks, coffee drinks, organic teas & organic juices, wine & beer. Vegan options available daily. All food is fresh and prepared on the day. Might we add we are quite a colourful bunch of characters too, weird and wonderful! FREE Wifi available.
