Felt like we had taken a step back in time when we walked into this bar. Staff were friendly and when I ordered our first drinks, the staff advised it was happy hour (between 16:00 & 19:00) and suggested other drinks so we could take advantage of this, as alcohol is pretty darned expensive in Iceland). We were made to feel welcome, not just another punter! Went back two afternoons running. Would recommend - it's really central so you can grab a bite when hunger hits!!

Walking in you feel as if you're in a West End 'boozer'. The service was good, friendly and they tried desperately to get our football team on the TV for us.....but didn't....but they tried!! Good atmosphere and it was very handy for our hotel.....worth a trip!

We were traveling with family and spent the first 2 days in Reyjavik Iceland in the town discovering the bars and restaurants along with all the shops and seeing what the locals do. We went down a side street and discovered a small park and an entire outdoor seating area behind about 6 bars in a row out back. We were thrilled as there was a ton of outdoor seating so we didn't have to sit inside on a gorgeous summer/fall day in Iceland. We also lucked out as every local we spoke to said September weather is never this nice, our week trip was 65 degrees the entire week and we did not encounter one drop of rain our entire trip which I'm told is unheard of in Sept in Iceland we lucked out big time and were able to enjoy our trip to the fullest every day. The bar was cool inside nice decor and very old english looking, plenty of space inside and the bartenders were all very nice. My son ordered an Old Fashioned drink and wondered why they do not serve cherries in them, the bartender told him by the time they ship them and they get to the island they are mushy and not good. So the only fruit they put in the drink is an orange slice. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the weather and just people watching, the drinks and beers were good also.

Excellent English based atmosphere with Icelandic touch, many local brews with the Traditional Guinness. Barkeep pours a Guinness the traditional way as well as other beers. Ver knowledgeable about local brews. Fun.

There is absolutely no English theme or atmosphere to this pub.except Notting Hill and Piccadilly street signs near the toilets which incidentally are called restrooms. 99.9% of the visuals are Icelandic scenes. No English drinks in sight due to them not being economically viable to import coupled with the fact that they're not favourable to local or tourist palates. A typical Reykjavik pub with high prices.

Everything in Iceland is expensive, especially alcohol, and especially here. Even with the chance to sit outside on a lovely day with some drinks, it felt like this was particularly preying on tourists, but so it goes. Still, if you want a drink and to sit outside, you'll pay for the pleasure and might as well do it here as anywhere else. We didn't stick around to see the evening bar scene, but I imagine it's particularly full of tourists.

Quick service , good choice of local beers and usual spirits, average prices for Reykjavik. Could do with more seating at the back. Seating at the bar made drinks service difficult during sporting event. Bar was clean, plenty of staff, welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend if you are visiting Reykjavik and you were missing an English pub! :-)

Me and my friend came into the pub it looked so lively and fun and it definitely was! Me and my friend where hanging out at the bar and a guy next to us started to chat with us, he offered to buy us a drink he ordered us the drinks and then when the bill came he refused to pay it and threw the card machine at us screaming it was their drinks(mind you we got one drink each and he offered) the bartender immediately took the card reader from us and gave it back to the man sticking up for us knowing we are not in the wrong, silly story but the bartender made us feel so safe and welcome in an awkward situation as women in a forgein country my heart is so full that a man made us feel so safe in their bar! Thank you to this bartender it meant a lot!

Crashed the patio facing the park and the sun on a clear day in Reykjavik, landed at the English Pub and was welcomed by prompt friendly service, chatty and helpful locals, and much needed pints of cold brew. Stopped in for a quick drink, stayed the whole afternoon. Sometimes it pays to do nothing, when the place you're doing it feels like home.

We called in to ask if a certain match would be shown and was told they can show up to 6 games at a time and although they do t serve food during the match you are welcome to bring food in. Drinks were also discounted while the games are on. Live music after was excellent with a guitar duo that where superb. Guinness was particularly good

It is a great place. It is a Friday night. Live music, great singer with the guitar. However, the staff behind the Bar looks very uninterested and we did not get a simple smile or a little acknowlegement. This is something you could at least expect from the Bartender.

Gave me the full experience of Iceland! Beer anyone? Spin the wheel and see where you land, be mindful you do have to pay to spin. Live music with the great Lilja and her husband along with another performer giving me the true meaning of Icelandic music, the crowd goes wild. Just drinks no food.

From the moment we stepped in the door the staff were very welcoming. Remembered what we were drinking. Made us feel really special what ever time we were visiting. It is a sports bar. Fantastic for the boys and football. I enjoyed the atmosphere Wetherby busy or quiet. I can't wait to return. Yes the drinks are dealer in Iceland, but worth every penny in the English pub.

Everyone was having a good time in here. Spinning the wheel was entertainment in itself. People beside us won a meter of beer and were kind enough to share. Soccer games on TV, live music started at 9pm. Drinks were typical price but huge. We had a blast.

Friendly Staff that was helpful in recommending beer we were not familiar with. It’s an authentic type of pub you would typically see in Europe. The location was on one the main streets of Reykjavik and quite close to our hotel, the Centerplaza Hotel Reykjavik. We stopped in during evening hours and it was crowded with a happy party time vibe.
