I went here for dinner with my parents and my partner. I've been here before and had the fish of the day, which I ordered again. It was delicious both times! My parents tried the lamb and the steak, and my partner had the salmon....Everyone loved their dishes. The desserts were great too, especially the brownie with the orange and carrot sorbet. The service there is also always great. We had a table by the window, so we had a nice view of the ships.More

Outstanding dinner and service. Wish we had more nights to go again. Artic char special was out of this world. Try the bread with violet butter and the Rock Crap soup.

A wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. Our server Arkaitz could not have been more helpful, and Kopar was a real highlight of our trip. The rock crab soup was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!

We had a delicious supper after a busy day touring southern Iceland. A warm welcome, friendly, efficient service and interesting menu. We had the mushroom wellington and langoustine and crab risotto with prawns- both were excellent. Decor was cosy and comfortable too!

Really nice 3 course lunch in a beautiful setting with views of the ocean and mountains. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the food was fabulous! Our waitress brought water and some home made bread and violet butter to the table (the violet...butter was a new one on me but was absolutely delicious!), my wife and I both started with the arancini with basil tofu, coleslaw and lime dipping sauce, my wife then opted for the catch of the day whilst I had the mushroom wellington with shallots, grilled asparagus and mushroom glacé - both were extremely tasty and beautifully presented. For dessert we both chose the chocolate brownie with salted caramel, mousse and orange and carrot sorbet. All 3 courses were out of this world and very reasonably priced (by Icelandic standards!) and I would recommend that you pay this gem of a restaurant a visit if you’re in the area - you won’t be disappointed!More

The food was outstanding and the staff very attentive. Ask for a window table overlooking the boats and harbor. It started snowing while we dined which made it even more lovely.

Phenomenal… That word doesn’t even cover it. From the service to the food itself, everything was amazing. I chose the Camembert, and was blown away. The Catch of the Day was cooked to perfection. Don’t let the menu fool you, it leaves you wanting more...with every bite… Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it’s amazing. Thank you to all the staff…More

This place was excellent, the rock crab soup is amazing, I almost ordered another bowl! The catch of the day was equally delicious and artistically presented. Will be my best and favorite meal in Iceland. The wait staff was attentive. Beautiful view by the window.

I feel awful writing this review but we went to Kopar due to all of the amazing reviews on here so I feel like I would be doing a disservice if I didn't! The food was awful, and I mean really awful. It's probably the...worst meal I've ever had, and it was actually the most expensive meal we had whilst in Iceland. We had the crab soup as recommended on here - we didn't like that, but fine, maybe some people do. I had the langoustine and prawn risotto - it was inedible. I couldn't eat more than a few mouthfuls and had to get my partner to help me out. The way I would describe it is pouring a vat of cream over a few pieces of rice and a couple of bits of fish which were really chewy. If anyone likes that meal I would be shocked. My partner had the mushroom wellington which he said was nice, and it was well presented. They give you bread and butter as well - the bread was soggy - it reminded me of maltloaf (didn't know if this was a thing in Iceland perhaps?) and the butter had some weird flavourings in it. The staff were friendly, the views are insanely beautiful but I was so disappointed in the food. :(More

Me and my partner had an excellent meal here, we were served by Ognjen, who did a fantastic job at guiding us through the amazing 'Adventure' taster menu. The ambiance was lovely and the location is wonderful. The main reason I'm writing this review is...because they don't accept cash tips (next best thing I guess!), so make sure you bring some spare physical cash because you're bound to have a great meal here!More

The place was lovely with a great view of the harbour. We go there and dropped our coats off and sat down - we had a cocktail each and then served the 1st course which they accommodated my partners mollusc allergy which was great. The...other courses followed in succession and they were all lovely but for some reason it just didnt feel special (we treat ourselves once a year to a michelin star meal and this is what I expected it to feel like and it didnt unfortunately but cost the same as a michelin star meal) .. there were a lot of people in the restaurant aswell so not a lot of room to move. I cant fault the food, it just wasnt what we expected for the money we paid. The table was ours for 2 hrs and we only just finished our food within that time and were given the bill but we still had some drinks to finish off we were told wecould go and sit near the bar in an area that was lovely but you felt you shouldnt be there long so we drank our drinks and left. We wouldnt go back as there are loads of other places to try in Reykjavik but it was an experience to eat reindeer and other delicaciesMore
