This is a fabulous harbor side breakfast and lunch place where Icelanders go! The food is really good -- and the character and location can't be beat. Love this place!

Stopped in for lunch after whale watching and was pleasantly surprised to find all the lunch options came with complimentary coffee and soup! Ended up ordering the fish stew, with the girlfriend having fish and chips. Safe to say they had to roll us out...the doors by the time we finished! Not only were portions great, but it was all exceptionally tasty. To round it off, there are good views over the habour and the service were very friendly, helping us comprehend some of the finer points of their menus.More

Been coming here for 50 years, meeting my friends for a quick coffee or lunch. Food was more like home back in the years but has changed now to be a medium restaurant version menu. Good fish dishes a little bit overdressed (fansy) and the...today specials are well worth waiting for. A good place to visit, a bit smelly probably because of lack of ventilation over the years but its worth visiting if you are in the neighborhood.More

Cozy unique place. Food was good. Service was polite and quick. Cozy is the polite term for cramped but it was worth it.

We enjoyed lunch here on our first day in Reykjavik. Its right on the harbor, and has a cosy, old-time feel to it. Nice and bright with lots of windows next to the water, which is nice, given that a lot of the places in...Reykjavik are cosy but dark. The fish stew was delicious, though not a "stew" by definition. My friend's fish and chips were perfectly cooked. it gets crowded and is fairly small, so we rushed ourself a bit to accommodate the growing line at the door. We would have loved to soak in the ambience a bit more before moving on. A good reason to return.More

We visited here on a beautiful sunny day in January. The woman (who might run it) was very friendly and welcoming. We got the fish and chips (inc side salad). It came with a selection of fish sauces to dip, one with parsley, one was...a Marie Rose sauce and the final is a tartare sauce... all nice and fresh! Much to our delight we got free soup, coffee and bread with any order of a main dish. This was a lovely treat after a frosty morning walk! They have a huge selection of sweet treats but due to the soup and fish and chips being a good size we had no room left for dessert! Thanks again!More

Great place on the harbour. We ordered fish & chips which comes with soup and hot drink. The soup was delicious, todays was asparagus. The fish was so fresh, it was soft and pure white. Loved it. Would highly recommend and prices are reasonable.

We went here, found it expensive however the fish and chips were lovely, soup of the day included free and bread along with condiments, and refill on coffees and teas so overall very impressed. Nice experience!
