We walked here from the Hilton Nordica. Although it was not a bad walk, we definitely thought we were lost until all of a sudden we were there. It is located in a small strip mall at the edge of an entirely residential area. Inside it smelled delicious. It is a very small shop ($ close together tables), but the... More

I did not try any pastries, but I did pick up a chocolate cake for a dinner we were going to later that day. This cake did not disappoint, very rich and moist and pretty. The pastries all looked good as well as large, and there were also some handmade chocolate truffles. Worth a stop.

We were staying at a local hotel on a room only rate so were looking for somewhere to have breakfast. We found Mosfellsbakari around a 10 minute walk away and they open at 0730 so were ideal to eat at. There are only around 3 tables in the bakery as it is mainly a take-away and we saw a procession... My wife and I were hungry for breakfast and really wanted to try some Icelandic Pastries. We found this on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. They have something that looks like a black and tan cookie and it was really good. We tried several other pastries as well and everything was quite tasty.

It is always a delight to go to the Mosfellsbakarí bakery. The bread and cakes are exceptional. But do not miss their hand made chocolates. They are the best chocolates you can get in the northern hemisphere. The opportunity for a nice afternoon coffee and cake is not to be missed!

(This review is for the larger Mosfellsbakeri in Mosfellsbae, just outside of Reykjavik.) This was exactly what I was looking for: a great bakery. Wow, the baked goods here are absolutely delicious. I had eaten some of the same types of pastries in grocery stores, and I was delighted to find a proper, high quality bakery. I actually went here... More

We had breakfast here before our dogsled tour in Skalafell. The food is quite good. The service was okay. There is a place to pick up a ticket at the front door - for the bakery side or the kaffi side. If there are people in line, you need a ticket. If not, apparently you can walk right up and... More

We were staying at a hotel fairly close by, so was quite handy for us. Enjoyed some lovely baked goods, includig giant iced buns and kleina, and nice coffee too.

Do you need bread or cakes to take away? Do you need to pre- peer a picnic going out in the country site? Or do you just want to sit down and have a nice tee time or coffee time break or breakfast, this is the right place!

Quality bread, sandwiches and cakes. Also some coffee stuff there, I'm not a coffee person but it looks great! Mosfellsbakarí is also famous for chocolate. Seating for 8 persons (the Háaleitisbraut location)
