Only stopped in for a coffee but really enjoyed the spot. Laid back vibe, nice people, worth stopping in. I wish we were able to stop back for a proper meal.

Went to Bergsson for lunch after a long time this Saturday, and I can firmly say that I will not be back anytime soon. I should have taken a picture, but it was really a sad sight: a few chewy potatoes, an end of an...orange, a tiny slice of tasteless melon, salad consisted literally of a few withered salad leaves and nothing else, there was a spoon-full of lukewarm baked beans, and we were given not even a slice of bread per person, let alone the drops of butter and a sad excuse for a hummus. Oh, there was also a small portion of pre-made and rather tasteless chia porridge. Coffee was not included, so the whole thing came up to 3200 ISK (more than 20 EUR) - this is ridiculous even for Reykjavik. To be fair, it is the midst of COVID-19 outbreak, some ingredients seemed to be missing or out of date (like rotten pineapples on display), and the staff (who seemed to be only two doing everything) looked tired and stressed, but that is not an excuse to serve this kind of meal and charge full price with no explanation. Really do not recommend.More

Food was great, service was very slow - we didn't mind as we had some time to kill but it's not a place to go for a quick bite to eat.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch after our tour guide recommended it for veggie options. It was outstanding!! Prices work out significantly cheaper than most other options, whilst portion sizes are bigger! The flavour is exceptional and we considered these the tastiest meals...we had throughout our holiday. The atmosphere inside is great, and they have nice desserts and drinks too. I’m honestly so impressed. I can’t recommend it enough! PS: I’m sure the non-veggie options are great too, but they’d already all sold out when we arrived. I can see why the place is so popular!More

The Hot Chocolate was amazing! The best one I’ve ever tasted. The food was quite good and made for a nice lunch.

Not a really great place for price to quality ratio. It’s pretty much a typical American breakfast with some minor additions like smoothies etc. Most things like potatoes bacon and eggs are Pre made. I was blown away by the quality of Icelandic tomatoes and...fresh taste in other restaurants but here it had no taste. Avocados were brown which means they were cut a while ago. Not sure how this place got 2nd in Reykjavik. Smoothie and chia pudding were good.More

We came here on my birthday for a delicious brunch. There was a mixture of meat, fruit, salad, bread and yoghurt. I love food and there was too much for me to finish! Would recommend. Vegan option also available.

We stopped here for lunch one afternoon in cold Reykjavik, and the food was perfect for warming us up! We ordered the soup of the day which was celery, and paired with their soda bread, it went down a treat. The lady serving, made delicious...coffee and was very quick considering she was by herself. The cafe itself is a little uninviting, and quiet, could do with warming up a bit/ maybe some music/ radio and decorations/ lighting?More

We went here twice during our five days. The staff is very nice and the food is good and healthy. Would definitely recommend the lasagne.

Very alternative American style breakfast- one may wonder why going all the way to Iceland to suffer that. On top of this it was quite expensive.

Yes, but I believe dinner was almost the same as lunch. Either way, it was great "home-cooked" food.
