We stopped in for lunch while exploring the area. We had burgers, cheese sticks, and fries. I liked that you could substitute some appetizers for fries for an up charge. I have not seen the movie but still appreciate the atmosphere and thought it was...pretty cool! I liked that the bars and dining areas had a vintage feel to them. We did have a little mix up with our food order in that it was labeled wrong so two people in the group got the wrong burger. Overall we just thought the food was ok.More

They know how to make a burger here! You don't even have to tell them medium it just comes out medium! Fantastic food! It's just very random in the middle of the city 😂

OK the place doesnt look like much but the food was really good. I hate fish and ate the burger. My burger was flame broiled and cooked to perfection. I dont know if it was the best burger I ever ate but it was really...close. The fries were great and the beer was good. My wife ate the vege burger and really loved it too. I would definitely eat here all the time if I lived in Reykjavik. The place takes reservations and we were lucky to get in so keep that in mind.More

A great bar on the Main Street in Reykjavik. Had a happy hour, very reasonably priced and good quality food. Football on and loads of film memorabilia for The Big Lebowski film fans.

Our first night in Iceland. We were hungry and tired. Saw the reviews about this bar and decided to give it a try. The menu is simple, burgers, fries, shakes and beer. Going with the Big Lebowski theme there are multiple variations of White Russians....Other reviews said the service was slow and they waited forever to get the bill. We did not experience that. We arrived at 6 pm on a Saturday night in July, we were seated immediately and had prompt service. It took only about 5 minutes for the food to arrive. We are burger purists, so always need to special order what we want. The 2 burgers were perfectly made to our request. The fries were hot and tasty. If I had any suggestion at all it would be that the food was under salted. We received the bill promptly and paid at our table. We were very pleased with our experience!More

Fun movie-themed restaurant based on 1998 comedy "The Big Lebowski". It is very popular especially during Happy Hour with food & food specials. I had a steak burger, fires and diet coke. In keeping with the movie theme, I had one of their 24 different...White Russians -- the Dude's favorite drink.More

This simple pub offers a really great selection of burgers and beer. I enjoyed ‘The Walter’ (bacon burger while my husband enjoyed the chicken burger. Both were tasty and the fries were great. Only downside is that the service is poor and it takes a...while to figure out you pay at the bar when you’re ready to leave.More

The place looks great and has a cool vibe but that's just surface appeal, beneath it the service was slow and borderline rude, we had to get up several times to track down the staff who were usually too busy talking to each other to...help. The food was a mixed bag, one of my friend's loved his but my Smash Burger was incinerated to the point that I couldn't tell which black bit was the beef and which was the bacon and yet it was still leaking grease all over my hands when I tried to pick it up. My other friend ordered nachos and was given a giant basket of chips with only three dip sized pots of guacamole, cheese and salsa, they were used up within seconds, same with the order of fries and mozzarella sticks another friend ordered, we got a giant basket of each, which would have been great if they'd tasted nice, but they didn't. I paid for the nachos, burger meal and four drinks which came to roughly £40, which I'd have been fine with if the food had been any good.More

This is a nice, friendly theme bar based on the film ‘The Big Lebowski’. The inside is reminiscent of a bowling alley with a rug that really pulls the place together. Happy hour from 4-7pm daily is a bargain as alcohol tends to be pricey...in Iceland. They have a nice selection of draught beers and an extensive list of white Russian cocktails that is fun. I ordered a Wicker Man chicken sandwich which was great. The place was fairly busy with a mixed crowd of tourists and locals all enjoying the happy hour and atmosphere. Really nice bar thats a lot of fun.More

My wife & I found Lebowski bar one night and enjoyed great food with a loud but fun atmosphere; we returned a couple of days later and football was being shown, sadly there were was one idiot who decided to celebrated Tottenham scoring by jumping...around screaming and kicking the banister next to where my wife was sitting; the staff just watched the moron carrying out his ritual and walked away. the reason for 3 stars is that the food was excellent on both occasions but would have been 5+ if the staff had calmed the football idiot down!!More

The bouncers feel somehow that they have the right to do wtf they want. And are very rude about it. You can still ask gently for a person to do what they have to without being extremely rude and treat you like a criminal. They...feel super entitled to do anything they want no questions asked. This is a pub! You can only throw people out if they are misbehaving, you can't throw a customer out because he is drunk, that's what this place it's made for. If the person is dangerous and annoying other customers God forbid! But they don't work with those standards. The staff inside is very helpful and very nice, maybe a bit slow but they are the ones you would go back there for. They are the ones who make that place worth visiting. I will never go on a weekend to it due to the very poor behaviour most of the security has. Which is I would call G8 of how they treat customers.More
