Sushi social has the freshest and tastiest sushi I’ve had in Reykjavik. The food, cocktails, service & the ambiance was excellent. Such a fun place to sit with friends & family.

The food was so delicious. We chose the Unique Icelandic Feasting menu. Each dish was really different and the attention to detail was fantastic. We had a delicious cocktailand the atmosphere in the restaurant was carnival and lots of fun. As with anything in Iceland...More

Went here for a Quick dinner and had some sushi. It was good and tasty. The deco is part of the experience and I do not like it but others May. The prices are good for Iceland and the service is good.

Wow - first off the restaurant was so flexible with us on reservation changes (our tours kept moving around so we had to call the restaurant a couple times to reschedule our reservation). They took our coats when we walked in which was so kind,...More

As far as quality goes, the sushi wasn’t too bad. It was as fresh as I expected, not the best cuts and quality, but not terrible. I’m a bit disappointed though, because I think we were paying for the ambiance, which seems westernized and upscale...More

I have been here a few times, but not as many as I would like because it's to pricey! I took the "2 fyrir 1" deal and still ended up paying a lot. Even though I am a sushi lover and would not change it...More

LOVED this place. The food, atmosphere and staff were all amazing. The cocktails were so fancy and fab looking, one even glowed! Food was lovely. Its a small place so booking is recommended but i would definitely return here.

Really nice atmosphere and cosy place. We had simply the best menu. Surf and turf sushi the best I ever had. The other dishes where also very good. Perfect staff...bravo.

I know other people left good reviews, but it was pretty bad for us... Overpriced, definitely overpriced. The fish and rice were fine, fresh, and tasty, but the combinations of rolls were strange for the person from the US. Who puts black bread crumbs on...More

Description
Opened at the end of 2011 and a hot favourite in the Reykjavik restaurant scene, Sushi Social - samba & grill offers a deliciously unique take on homegrown ingredients, using Iceland's freshest flavors with Japanese and South American influences. The menu offers a great selection, tempting smaller courses, traditional and "Juicy- Sushi" , amazing steaks and sweet desserts. If you can't decide what to go for, the Icelandic feast is a perfect solution - six courses form an incredible taste experience that includes the national aperitif 'Brennivin' and an Icelandic Skyr for dessert. Fabulous chili mojitos and a gorgeously eclectic interior are the icing on the cake at Sushi Social. Hand- carved Brazilian curios and some 50 pretty Japanese birdcages complement the contemporary lines and gentle feel of the place.
