This restaurant is in one word EXCELLENT!! Food and service were great. The quality of everything was top notch and mostly the food was just so good. Our tastebuds were in a very good mood for many days. Me and my family highly recommend Kastrup as a restaurant to enjoy great food, fun atmosphere and excellent service.

This place is amazing!!
I highly reccomend visiting!
I came here to meet friends and we had the best meal I have had in Reykjavík. Beautiful fish cooked to perfection. My friends tried the meat option so I got to taste that too, everything was mindblowingly good. They also have a large selection of world class wine and staff that knows what to recommend.
Do not leave Iceland without trying this gem!

Went to eat lunch with my family and had the roast beaf sørrebrød and it was very delicious with alot of roast beaf on the bread, i highly reccomend it. And then i had the creme bruleé for desert and it was really good.
We had kids from 9 month to 12 and they really enjoyed that they could color on the table cloth, that was different and really good experience.
We had an excellent service and didnt had to wait for anything.
The enviroment on the restaurant was really good and calm.

What a disappointment. Sunday brunch and there are only 2 people waitering. 15 minutes to get menus. Then, once another 15 minutes passed to place the order, we waited 45 minutes for our food. We arrived at 12:30 and we left at 14:00 without having had any food, because the wait time became ridiculous. When we notified the manager that we were leaving, he did not even apologize. Horrible service and business model. You should have a full house of waiters on a weekend brunch. Will never set foot here again and will discourage anyone I know from entering.

Service was terrible. Though I made a reservation, I was seated at the worst table in the restaurant- right at the entrance which is separated by some drapes- despite other open tables. I was ultimately seated elsewhere at my request. Once I received my meal, I never saw my server again - he never came back to see if meal was ok, if I needed anything else, nothing. I was completely ignored the whole evening This was my last night in Reykavik and a real disappointing way to end my trip. The meal itself was one of the best during my trip, but the overall dining experience was ruined by the total lack of service.

I called ahead for take away and let them know my specific order for my hamburger because previously it was served uncooked, completely raw with a soggy bun. And then they heard me and then ignored me because my order was 40 minutes delayed. I called and the girl who answered the phone raised her voice at me and asked me to not be rude when I didn’t even complain the last time. I was just trying to understand why it was taking so long and why she didn’t care to let me know. And then I asked for her name and she hung up. I don’t know. For what they charge they need to get it together.

We came for lunch and left after dinner. The perfect restaurant. Great for lunch, dinner and drinks. Great menu and works for friends, families and work 🥂
We had the steak and the lemon sole, recomend the toast with anchovies for starters.

Went there with a group of friends for dinner. We where greeted by a wonderful member of staff (found out later that he is one of the owners).
Our drinks came very quickly. They have a great variety of wines and mixed drinks on there menu.
The food was amazing. No pretentiousness, honest and well cooked and definitely from quality produce
Will be visiting again soon and before leaving we booked a table for there xmas menu

Kastrup has it all; great food & wine, fantastic and attentive staff and great atmosphere. Weither your stopping for lunch and sharing some of their fantastic scandinavian style open sandwiches or if your having their great fench bistro style steaks or fish dishes, Kastrup is consistently exeptional. Simple, unpretentious but always delicious food. Can't recommend this place enough. A must for your visit to Reykkjavík.

My partner and I visted here early evening thursday. It is our first visit here since it opened which is embarrassing to say because the food and service was outstanding. We go to eat quite a lot but the same places and I must say the service from Kiddi was 10/10. The girls chefs also very impressive. Very clean restaurant and we will definitely return. Thank you

I had an amazing experience at Kastrup! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. I especially loved the steak frites, which was cooked to perfection. The tiramisu and roastbeef smörrebröd were also Amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Ended the trip to Iceland with a delicious lunch at Kastrup and couldn’t be more satisfied. The place is spacious, yet quiet and feels intimate enough to enjoy a conversation. I recommend the Danish smørebrod with with shrimp and mayo - haven’t had a better one even in Denmark 😋

Restaurant located on a quiet street behind the main high street in Reykjavik. Modern urban style decor with open kitchen. Welcoming, professional and knowledgeable service. Excellent quality dishes and high quality wine list. Anchovies on toast starter and sole main particularly good. Top end dining in Reykjavík well worth a visit.

Visited on a Monday and was blown away by the quality of food and the friendly staff. KristinAnna was most welcoming and made some great menu recommendations! Tolli made sure our choices were complimented with the appropriate wine. Altogether a perfect end our day (and stay in Iceland) Highly recommend!! :-)

Great restaurant! went with friends on a Thursday night and the atmosphere there was great. Arctic char is crazy good and I loved the raisin and almond combo. My friend had a caesar salad which was divine and huge. They have a great selection of wine and also local beer on tab. We had a very nice bottle of Burgundy and the service was great. The restrurant looks amazing and has beautiful art on the walls.
