Travelling with a food intolerance can be daunting but full marks to this well placed cosy restaurant for the choice available to a coeliac. The staff were well informed and the food was varied, tasty and different. We went back for a second visit as...it was so good.More

A great restaurant with lots of options to choose from. They have a meat free ingredient called "oumph" and it's superb. I would strongly recommend this place. The staff are also super friendly and can speak many languages.

I’d strongly recommend this place if you’re looking for good quality food at a reasonable price. From my recent experience, Reykavijk isn’t cheap when trying to find a decent meal. This place is very reasonable when compared to other restaurants in the area; it also...caters for veggies, vegans and meat eaters. The hosts give you a warm but not intrusive welcome and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. I’d recommend the Indian Dahl bowl and the Mediterranean bowl. If you like beer you might like to order a glass of the draught Icelandic brew which is a lovely accompaniment to the gorgeous food on offer :-) We enjoyed it so much the second night of our holiday that we returned for 3 nights running :-) Thank you for your lovely food and warm welcome :-)More

We visited at lunchtime. No need to book. There are plenty of tables. The restaurant is accessed up a flight of stairs. Healthy food is central to this restaurant. We had a oumph burger (suitable for vegetarians) and a beef burger. Both are served with...sweet potato fries. Approximately £14 per meal. Service was quick. Food quality was good. Our only thought was for choice of drinks which were not great (we had natural soda which must be an acquired taste but worth a try). You can get a beer, natural sodas, tea/coffee, or free water. We’d certainly visit again as a nice meal and a peaceful haven in the heart of the city. Easily found and conveniently located just off the main road. Limited on street parking does seem available although it’s easy to walk here if you are already in the city.More

My husband and I visited Glo as I am vegetarian and was getting fed up with most restaurants in Reykjavik offering veggie burgers or pizza as the main options. The restaurant itself is very plain with wooden seating, plain walls and little atmosphere. However the...staff were very pleasant and helpful and the whole place, including the toilets, were spotless. I opted for a vegan Mexican bowl which was on at an offer price of 1400 isk which is around £8.50. The bowl included salad, salsa, guacamole, nachos, black beans, jalapenos and oumph (a vegan soya chicken). It was very filling and very tasty. My husband had a vegan Thai soup which I nearly fell off my seat at, given he rarely eats vegetables let alone vegan food 😂. He said the soup was full of flavour and had a bit of a kick to it whilst not being overpowering. The prices were very reasonable and the good was fresh and tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you are vegan or vegetarian.More

We wanted a restaurant that had a good gluten free range and this one fitted the bill nicely. Just up a sidestreet and on the first floor this is a large and airy restaurant. Deciding what to eat was a challenge. The gluten free option...became the burger which was served on a spelt bun. Lots of gherkins and tomatos and lovely fresh salads. It didnt look huge but was very filling. The salads were very fresh and used vegetable spaghetti to double for noodles. We left feeling very full. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as many being gluten free too.More
