We selected this from a TripAdvisor search as it was near to our accommodation. The menu had a lot of choice - we choose it because it had a fish starter and main course of the day. Initially we were offered a table at the back of the restaurant - but it was so dark we had to use the... More

Since I moved to Iceland a few months back I wanted to try this place out. It has pictures of lobster in the front and it all looks good but then you check on the prices and you realize it will be expensive. When I finally did visit this place for dinner I was correct. The inside is ok but... More

Dinner was alright but nothing remarkable. I ordered the fish and chips and I like how the batter was not too thick - makes the fish crispy and not greasy. Service was very pleasant.

We had a late dinner on our first night after a long trip, we each ordered something different and all enjoyed our food. I would recommend the fish of the day any day!!

Great pate and tasteful codfish with curry sauce. Relax environment in the center of Reikiavik. Quality/price acceptable. I would repeat again.

We walked in for lunch and were impressed with their menu. Everything sounded delicious. We had a lobster sandwich and a sample of 3 different sandwiches. The food was great and the service was ok. The atmosphere is not much, but the location is great, in the middle of the main shopping street. Unfortunately, we went there on our day... More

We chose this restaurant because of the great selection of fish dishes. We had the salted cod and salmon. Both where excellent and the best meal we had in Reykiavik. Local beers are really a good accompaniment to the fish dishes. Staff where friendly and attentive, well worth paying a visit.

A good meal completes the journey of every tourist. Wandering along the shopping district called Laugavegur, I spotted a restaurant that suit my interest - Fish of the Day. Honestly, I was attracted to the image on display and it helped me decide what to eat instead of ordering something I do not know, which could be disappointing. I never... More

We ate here one time during our stay in Iceland. This was mainly because the restaurant was beneath our hotel. I regret that we didn't eat here more often. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
