My wife and I had a fantastic dinner here on our Iceland vacation. I made reservations via restaurant website and no problem. The prices are in line with fine dinning in Reykjavik but it is not an inexpensive meal. For that reason I ordered the shellfish soup to share. The brought us each a bowl with a very generous portion.... More

Expensive but well worth a visit. Many options in the menu to choose from and all look succulent. I chose the lamb as a tour guide had recommended our tour group to try Iceland's lamb. The lamb in Iceland are raised in the open free to graze so their meat is quite different to lamb elsewhere. The seafood is quite... More

Eyrún and her staff welcome you on arrival and make you feel comfortable. Seating is not too tight such that one can speak freely without being heard. The food arrives along with some words from the waiter and that adds to the overall experience. Every dish tickles the taste buds and the wine just adds to the experience. Service is... More

Good reviews on TA and a young gilr who just exited when we were looking at the menu raved about the place so we booked for Saturday evening. We got there late and our table was given away but they offered a smaller table and the chance to move once another larger table became free, which it did about 30... More

If you want to try some typical Icelandic Food Sjavargrillid Seafood Grill is the best place to do it. The place itself is very cosy, staff is very helpful and friendly. I don't often go to restaurants but this one is worth every penny. Definitely recommended!

Had their catch of the day and today's special - beef ribeye and pork cheek and both mains tasted wonderful. Service rendered was very friendly and unpretentious. Price was reasonable too. Overall recommended

Visited on Saturday evening with a reservation. The restaurant was very busy and now we know why. Dinner was superb. The bread and whipped butter was so tasty. Salted cod with pork was wonderfully cooked, the cod was moist and the pork melted. My boyfriend had the langoustines and he said they were excellent. Dessert was the chocolate, hazelnut and... I ordered the grilled "Taste of Iceland" with lobster and beef, salmon and shrimp, leg of lamb and lamb shoulder, and blueberry cake for dessert. Before dinner, I had an Eskimojito that was interesting and good. Service was excellent, and the restaurant had a good wine selection.

Thank MMHouston

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
