Nice presentation, great atmosphere and vibe to the place. Like many restaurants in Iceland, the food is average and the prices are very high.

Still thinking about the salmon I had for lunch here a couple of weeks ago. So fantastic!!! So many flavors and beautiful presentation. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent place for a date or business luncheon.

Exquisite seafood and fish soup. Don't miss the salmon with couscous or the shellfish soup. The sauce was very delicate on the salmon, and the soup had lots of seafodd in it including shrimp and mussels. We did not have a reservation but I would recommend getting one as the restaurant was very crowded on a Tuesday night. Service was... More

We had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant last Friday evening and it was simply amazing. The seafood is "melt in your mouth" good. My son had Cod and I had muscles, the sauce was so good I drank the rest :) If you get a chance to eat here do it! We were lucky to be able to... More

It seems that this is an established restaurant with a good following. The Salt Cod was recommended and did not disappoint, in fact I found out it to be excellent. My Wife had the Lamb chops and its hard to go wrong with Lamb in Iceland.

This restaurant has two levels. If you want a quiet meal, go downstairs. If you want more of a scene, stay upstairs. The food is nicely presented, tasty and relatively large servings. The 'lighter' fare is still plenty of food. The menu and wine list are not large but all interesting with something to satisfy most people. A nice place... More

My friends ordered sea soups and I order lamb+meat. It was good but if consider prices - sea soup is really better choice

We were in Reykjavik for only 36 hours, but we ate here twice. The menu was thoughtful and original, and the presentations were a surprise. There is also an outdoor space directly in front, on the street, where we spent a couple of hours drinking excellent Icelandic beer. We were just wandering around, looking for someplace interesting to eat, and... More

Food was good, pretty much as expected, but at a place like this we would expect a more attentive and enthusiastic service. It took quite a while to get the food, wine recommendations were not really matched to food and wine offers by the glass was very limited (we were two, and had fish / meat hence sharing a bottle... The perfect place all in all. Great service and a friendly staff. Ordered the salt fish and it was the best meal I've had in a long time. Overall a great place. Highly recommend.

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
