Very good meal. Business meal with four co-workers. Everything was excellent. Tasty but not overpowering. Subtly very tasteful. The fish soup and the fish of the day were especially good. The desserts were delicious. It's a big meal. It's also a casual, relaxed setting. It got a bit warm inside, and service was slowish. Otherwise, a great meal

I was recommended here by a local, a good menu with a great variety of food. Staff were friendly, and it was very busy - do book if you can! I had the salmon (Lax) starter and it was pretty amazing. That alone was worth going for.

A busy restaurant on one of the main drags. Varied menu including fish and meat that including "small plates" which seemed to be substantial meals too. The house salad was fresh and tasty. My salmon with cous cous and the now ubiquitous kale was tasty and cooked to perfection. Our blond pony-tailed male waiter was efficient and had a good... More

The menu is large, but consider the catch of the day. I had bake ling (like cod) with cream sauce, cauliflower, bok choy and mashed potatoes. They book up for dinner, but I tried anyway and got a table due to a cancellation. Best to book ahead, though.

The summer visitors to Iceland fill up all the good restaurants every evening so calling a day ahead will usually work. This is a busy restaurant a short walk up the hill towards the massive cathedral. It is on a side street so get out your map unless you know the area. Fish is their specialty and the catch of... We went for the fish feast and it was really good but it was too much. The fish was cooked perfectly but was a lot. This is a three course meal and the portion sizes were very generous. Service was top notch.

Oh WOW. I had the lobster feast and my boyfriend had the traditional preset meal. The flavors! The balance of so many different flavors with meat cooked to perfection! My boyfriend proclaimed it as the best meal of his life. I had never had langoustine and this is hands down the place to have it. 10x more tender and tastier... More

We went to this restaurant the 1st night in Reykjavik. It is nicely decorated and in a great area of the city. They claimed we didn't have a reservation and when I could produce my confirmation email they finally sat us. If you make a reservation you better bring confirmation of it because another couple we met said they "lost"... More

We didn't have a reservation but they seated us on the patio and we were very glad! Superb food! Cheese plate appetizer is dreamy. Bread and butter - butter in Iceland is the world's best - slather it on! - and salads were fantastic. But the salmon was an absolute show stopper. Fresh and well appointed with Herb's and broccoli.... More

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
