We walked in on a whim without a reservation and we're delighted with the selections offered. We were even more thrilled with our meals. The carpaccio left me speechless and the lobster salad was a feast unto itself. My daughter had the curd salmon and shrimp to start and lapped up a dinner sized portion of mussels. To finish, I... We got to Reykjavik on Iceland's National Day June 17th. Pretty much all restaurants were packed and it was difficult to find a place to go without a reservation. This was the case also with Sjavargrillid. But right after we had heard the they were sold out for the whole evening and we headed out on the street to find... More

Delicious food served in generous portions by friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff. Great cocktails too. What's not to like? My wife and I left very happy.

Some friends and I happened upon this place as we were walking around Reykjavik decided to try this place, we were not disappointed. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. It is usually the first meal I think of when I think of eating out in Reykjavik. The staff were great, and a cool vibe.

The Icelandic lamb was to die for. Each dish surpassed our expectations and we couldn't finish what we ordered. With vouchers it was extremely good value.

We visited on our familytrip with two small kids and all had a Lovely dinner. All the adults had catch of the Day which was really good and some fantastic desserts. The kids also enjoyed their dinner and free icecream.

It was recommended to me by my friend and he wasn't wrong. I can say that I had the best dishes in my life and I visited the restaurant twice before I leave Iceland. I was confident to order any dish without any hesitate because the quality applied to all and every dish had a special taste. It was the... More

I found this place when planning my trip to Iceland and reading some articles about great restaurants in Reykjavik. I wanted to pick somewhere amazing since it was my boyfriend's birthday. This was an awesome choice!! The place has a great vibe - somewhat casual and warm and happy. Initially we were seated downstairs but it was really hot downstairs... More
