I don’t know why TripAdvisor says this is an Italian restaurant, it is not. They do have pizza but that is it. Everything else on the menu is European/Icelandic/American style. Fish, duck, beef etc.
I have eaten there many times with my wife and friends since they opened and haven’t had a bad experience yet.
We have been twice already on our latest trip and will be back again for a family gathering tomorrow night.
The service is good as is the food. I usually get the fish of the day. It was Plaice the first time and Cod the second.
I recommend it to everyone who visits Reykjavik.

Very good pizzas, bad service. Good selection of beers. unfortunately mine was 50/50 beer and foam, they did not seem to care.

Friendly and fast service even though the restaurant was very busy. Cozy atmosphere. Food to the liking of both kids and adults.

Terrible pizza, way too expensive and the cooks were rude. Had the Americana and they were obviously saving the toppings and sauces.

Kringlukráin has been around for a long time and because it's in a mall, you may not expect much. However, it's surprisingly good for what it is. It's not fine dining, but they generally have good food and generous portions. It's a place where you will find more locals than tourists. Went there with a friend and three kids, and the kids each got a kid's menu with pictures to color and crayons to color with. The kid's meals were reasonably priced for Iceland and everyone liked their food. I got a tiger shrimp salad which was very good, My friend has buffalo wings and the kids had pizza and chocolate cake. They also gave the kids ice cream popsicles after they finished their meal, for free. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Overall, a good experience.

I ordered the lobster pasta, the lobsters were tiny and the taste of the sauce was bad. I also found it expensive. I felt sick for a while afterwards. Will not try it again. Good service though.

I come here quite often. Kringlukráin is not a luxury restaurant but I have never left dissapointed. Very good food, excellent service at affordable prices.

We went there for office lunch. My friend room lobsters salad and I got pizza. It took some time to our order get done, but it was lunch time so it's acceptable. Pizza was very tasty on thin dough. Lobster salad was so great like my pizza. My friend who love lobster at the beginning told us that lobster are old or not fresh. Someone before wrote that he wait long time for extra drinks, so it was the same with us.

Friendly and busy Kringlukrain gives good value for money. Fish of the day plus soup was ordered at a very reasonable price. Most importantly service was quick and effecient

This place is great for informal meetings. You get good food and also good service in my opinion. In this place you will find more locals than tourists. You have free parking, and the food is not overpriced. I appreciate this place, and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxed place to eat and meet.

It took more than 40 minutes to bring us our drinks! For the food we waited 1 hour!

The food was poor and the service man had this depressing feeling around him witch was so annoying, It was unwelcoming! The staff just hanged out behind the bar and talked?
didn’t pay any attentions to the costumers,
The service was slow and the food came after 45 minutes, and was not that worth it...
when i asked for the reciped i didn’t get it and they definatly over charged us.

I’m gonna have to disagree with most of the reviews here and say that this wasn’t for me.
A weird attitude from our server who seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else. Forgot about our drinks for a while, too, until reminded. We mostly all got pizzas. One regular pepperoni which was buried under oregano, an ‘inferno’ which was disappointingly mild in flavour, and an italian chili I think it was called, which was mostly just onions as a topping. Overkill. A shame really, cause the pizza bases were quite nice.
I mean granted there’s potential in how it looks but the whole thing left me feeling nothing at all really.
