Amazing street food. The service was very friendly and very good atmosphere. We had the fish stew (plukkfishkur) and meat soup. It was really tasty!!! The beer was cheaper 😊 Definitely would come back!

This restaurant is not closed… Maybe it’s know as something else today- I believe it’s Loa, from my bank statement. The layout is the same as previous reviews and photos show. So, my visit. Our first night I. Reykjavik so wanted something quick to eat...before returning to the hotel for the night. A fantastic young man was ready to serve us. He was so friendly & so helpful I can not praise enough. I ordered the Icelandic soup- lamb & vegtables. Plus a Viking draft. This cost around £17. The soup portion was huge, probably actually enough for 2. Plus a whole bucket of bread, and butter, served on lava rock which was nice. All so tasty.More

Great place to catch a breakfast before going off on tour for the day. There are a number of hot and cold options. Very satisfied.

I did not eat there, but I did get a coffee. The coffee was good! And in that short time my friends I was traveling with and I made friends with Malwina who was working there that day. My friends enjoyed their food, I enjoyed...my coffee, and we all enjoyed our time with her that day!More

Having very limited time before our departure, we blindly walked in. Aside from having very limited and what seemed to be weathered selection of sandwiches, the person behind the counter seemed irritated by our presence. Having run into various selections of hot dogs on Faroe...Islands, I inquired about the type and size of dogs being served here. Their menu description was a rather limited one and I wanted to see how many we needed to order for lunch. Here is where I got a tirade that if not for a limited time we had and having my wife and a teen daughter present, would have landed me in the legal hot waters with local police. The dude behind the counter, obviously offended that I was asking about the hot dog sizes, went off on me telling me that hot dogs are like penises- come in different sizes and shapes and that I at my age should have seen a number of penises to realize that. Heterophobia galore. I chose not to engage this weird looking fellow girl for my sake. By the way, the food was delivered 20 minutes later (fast food) and of very mediocre quality.More

Nice stop on the shopping street. Warm, relaxing atmosphere and there was something for everyone. My American teen even got his chicken wings. Reasonable prices, good beer.

It was a cold night and we needed a quick , easy meal after just arriving in Reykjavik. This was an ideal place with a good choice , no frills menu with sandwiches to a full meal and drinks. Girl serving was friendly and helpful....Would recommend if you need a quick meal with no fuss and easy going atmosphere.More

We were staying at the hotel hext door so called in for lunch. Ordered 2 soups, a toastie and fries. The member of staffs boyfriend arrived at the same time do she was distracted! The toastie arrived first. We requested ketchup but were told to...wait 5 minutes and it comes with the fries ....toastie was ok, lukewarm and only toastie on one side! 1 x soup then arrived. It was ok, lukewarm and no bread, very small serving. We waited and waited for 2nd soup....it had never been ordered. Like I said, the lady serving was disteacted!! She then ordered it for us.....we waited.. and waited. When we sked where it was she snapped that we could see how busy she was and the kitchen were dealing with it. It was a papercup of microwaved soup ....!! Eventually, we had to leave to catch an excursion bus without the soup and without any real concern from the member of staff. The quality of the food that was served was very average so maybe it was a blessing anyway! Avoid this place. There are some wonderful places nearby. Cheaper better quality, friendly staff and you get what you ordered served with a smile!!More

Yummy on a cold evening. You will have to wait about 10 minutes to get it so not “fast” food. The Atmosphere laid back casual.

Hello, I just returned from a magical trip to Iceland, it was made all the more magical by my having visited Stokk, you will find inexpensive food here from the very comforting lamb soup to the Icelandic fish and chips, all delicious and reasonably priced....Everyone is so friendly, the atmosphere pleasant and it's a great place to meet people and enjoy a coffee / hot chocolate, too. Centrally located near to all the sites of Reykjavik, Stokk is the ideal place to stop off and unwind. Thanks so much, Dominic (London)More
